W ARNING: T o reduce the risk of tipping the appliance by abnormal usage or improper door loading, the appliance must be secured by properly installing the anti-tip device packed with the appliance. T o check the installation remove the right top burner grates and pan and verify that the anti-tip device is engaged in the backguard slot.

Backguard Assembly The backguard, located in the “top pack” of the range, must be installed prior to placing the range in position for gas hookup. See Figure 7. P ositioning/Leveling T o position the range use a lift jack or enough manpo wer to lift the range completely .

17 CONVECTION O VEN MODELS Con vection o ven ranges of fer the choice of “regular” radiant baking and roasting or con vection baking and roasting. The benefits of con vection cooking are: 1. More e ven baking and roasting. 2. A general reduction in cooking time for most baked foods; up to 30% faster .

Using a lo wer temperature setting will cause the broil element to cycle on and of f. This feature can be used for foods that need to cook more slo wly or need less radiant heat.
