English - 9 Unpacking the system Carefully unpack the carton and confirm that the following parts ar e included. Note: Do not connect any cables to the system until after you have launched the SoundT ouch ™ app. See “Connecting the system to your home Wi-Fi ® network” on page 11.

Setting up the System English - 11 Connecting the system to y our home Wi-Fi ® network 1. Launch the app by double-clicking the SoundT ouch ™ app icon. The first time the app launches, it guides you through setting up the system on your Wi-Fi network.

Setting up the System English - 13 Instal l ing the SoundTouch ™ SA-4 ampl ifier Locate the SA-4 amplifier indoors, close to an AC (mains) power outlet. It does not need to be close to your speakers. The SoundT ouch ™ SA-4 amplifier weighs 11 lbs (5 kg).
Setting up the System 14 - English Connecting speakers to the SA-4 ampl ifier CAUTIONS: • Use only unpowered speakers. DO NOT connect any make or model of powered speakers. Doing so may cause damage to the equipment. • The SoundT ouch ™ SA-4 amplifier requir es a 6-ohm minimum load.
English - 15 Controll ing the System using the App 5. Follow the operating instructions for your unpowered speakers to connect the other end of the cables to the speakers. Make sure to connect the marked wires to the positive terminals. 6. Install the speakers in their permanent location.

English - 17 Playing music with the SoundTouch ™ control ler During the app set up process, the SoundT ouch ™ contr oller was activated and a wireless connection was established. Y ou can use the SoundT ouch ™ contr oller to play and manage your presets.

English - 21 Alternate setup method Using this method you can set up your SoundT ouch ™ system by first joining its own built-in Wi-Fi ® network, and then connecting to your home Wi-Fi network. 1. On the back of the SoundT ouch ™ wireless adapter , press and hold the Contr ol button for 2-6 seconds.
Advanced Features 22 - English Disable/enable W i-Fi ® capabil ity The SoundT ouch ™ wireless adapter has built-in Wi-Fi capability that enables it to wirelessly connect to your home Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi capability is disabled when the SoundT ouch wireless adapter is placed in the Power Saving mode.
English - 23 How presets work Y ou can personalize six presets to your favorite str eaming music services, stations, playlists, artists, albums, or songs from your music library . Y ou can access your music at any time with a simple touch of a button on the SoundT ouch ™ controller .
24 - English Adding a W i-Fi ® network If your network information has changed, or to connect your system to another network, you must add the new network information in the app and then connect the system. 1. Launch the SoundT ouch ™ app. 2. Click EXPLORE > SETTINGS > Systems .
Care and Maintenance English - 25 Problem What to do Neither speaker plays • Make sure the amplifier is connected to AC (mains) power . • Make sure the plug is inserted fully and the AC (mains) power outlet is powered. • Make sure content is selected via the SoundT ouch ™ app.
Care and Maintenance 26 - English Cleaning CAUTION: Disconnect the power cord fr om the AC (mains) power outlet before cleaning. T o clean the SA-4 amplifier , use only a soft, dry cloth to remove dust from the outside of the enclosure. Y ou may use a brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to clean the hard-to-r each areas.
