10 I nstallation G uide Sett ing SCS I IDs A SCSI ID uniquely identifies each SCSI device on the SCSI bus and determines priorit y wh en two or mor e dev ices are tryin g to use the SCSI bus at the same time.
11 Adaptec P o wer Dom ain 29160/ 2916 0N T erminating th e SCSI Bus T o ensure reliable co mmunication on the SCSI bus, ter min ato rs must be installed (or enabled) on the devices at the physic al ends of the SCSI bus. The t ermina tors on all devices between the ph ys- ical ends of the SCSI bus must be rem ov ed (or disabled).
12 I nstallation G uide Bus Segments on the Adapt ec SCSI Car d The Adapt ec P owerDomain 29160/29160N SCSI PCI cards fea- ture Adap tec ’ s SpeedFlex technology .
