User Controls 20 Xerox DP1015 User’s Guide On-Screen Display (OSD) Menus The On-Screen Display (OSD) menus provide th e options to make image adjustment s and change a variety of settings. Displaying Menus and Selecting Items 1. T o open the OSD Menu, press the Menu button on the remote control or on the projector ’s control p anel.

Y ou may need to rea djust the Brightness after the p rojector warms up. Contrast —Controls the degree of dif ference between the lightest and darkest p arts of the image.
Xerox DP1015 User’s Guide 23 User Controls Adjust the Computer Display Image The Display menus are slightly dif ferent for V ideo Mode (the V ideo Adapter is attach ed to the projector) and VGA Mode (the V ideo Adapter is removed). Display Menu (V ideo Mode) Keystone —Adjusts image distortion caused by tilting the projector .
User Controls 24 Xerox DP1015 User’s Guide Display Menu (VGA Mode) Frequency —Changes the display dat a frequency to match th e frequency of your computer ’s graphi cs card. If vertical flickering lines appear on the image, adjust the frequen cy until they disappear .

Projection: • Front-Desktop —Projects onto a screen in front of the projector . The factory default setting. • Rear-Desktop —Projects a reverse d image so you can project from behind a translucent screen.
Xerox DP1015 User’s Guide 27 Maintenance Maintenance Changing the Lamp The projector ’s lamp life is approximate ly 1500 hours of use. The projector automatically monitors the la mp life. After 1500 hours o f use, the projector displays a message that th e lamp life is over and the lamp needs to be replace d.
Maintenance 28 Xerox DP1015 User’s Guide 6. Remove the cover . 7. Remove the three lamp module ret aining screws. 8. Lift up the handle and pull out the lamp module. 9. Put the new lamp module into the lamp bay and gently press it down. The lamp can only be inserted in one direction.

Refer to the technical su pport card that you received with your projector or contact t he retailer where you purch ased your projector .
