Installation Instructions GENERAL Direct fired heaters discharge combustion by-products with the heated air in t o the area being heated. These include CO, CO 2 , NO, NO 2 , and Ethylene.

ON OFF For initial start-up af ter heater installation, f ollow steps 1-6. For normal start-up, simply set the thermostat abov e room tem perature. 1 . Connect electrical cord t o an appro ved electrical outlet. 2. Set thermostat to desired room t emperature.
1 4 1. Before cleaning, shut off all gas supply valves and disconnect electrical supply . 2 . At least once a y ear give the heater a thor ough cleaning, preferably bef ore the beginning of the fall heating season. At that time, remo ve the f an and motor assembly and brush or blo w of f the fan wheel.
1 5 1. Open the motor end access panel, and disconnect the motor leads. 2. Remo ve the mot or mounting plate screws and pull the fan and mot or assembly from the housing. 3 . Loosen the square head set screw(s) on the fan wheel. 4. Pull the fan wheel fr om the motor shaft.
