IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Microwave ovens have been thoroughly tested for safe and efficient operation. However, as with any appliance, there are special lnstallatlon and safety precautions which must be followed to ensure safe and satisfactory operation and prevent damage to the unit.

Cooking Automatically After Defrosting The controls can be set so the microwave oven goes automatically from defrosting to the Cook cycle you have touched in. DO THIS... THIS HAPPENS... 1. Put food in the oven and close the door. The QUICK DEFROST Indicator Light will come on and the Display will show four 0’s.

Using KEEP WARM . Hot, cooked foods can be safely kept warm in your microwave oven for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds (about 1 hour, 40 minutes). KEEP WARM can be used by itself, or it can automatically follow a cooking cycle. DO THIS... THIS HAPPENS...
Using AUTO START The microwave oven can be set to start automatically at a later time. Use AUTO START to delay the start of cooking for up to 11 hours, 59 minutes. DO THIS... THIS HAPPENS... 1. Make sure the Clock is set to correct time of day. See page 6 if any change is needed.

Minute Timer The microwave oven controls can be used as a kitchen timer. Use COOK at “0” Cook Power for tlmlng up to 99 mlnutes, 99 seconds. NOTE: If all tones are removed [see page 6) the Minute Timer will still tunctlon, but the Minute Timer signal will not sound.
Accessory Kits . A removable Bi-Level Cooklng Rack is available as an accessory kit. Thls rack lets you cook or reheat foods together as a meal. Ask your WhIrlpool dealer for details on 4158310 - Bl-Level Cooklng Rack Kit.

DO NOT use the oven for stor- age. Do not leave paper prod- ucts, books or cooking utensils in the oven when not in use. Fire may result if someone acclden- tally starts the oven. DO NOT let food or container touch the top or sides of the oven. Starting a microwave oven when It’s empty Is not recom- mended.
General information If your electric power line or outlet voltage is less than normal 120 volts, cooking times may be longer. To test a dish for safe use, put it into the oven with a cup of water beside It. Cook on HIGH Cook Power for one mlnute. If the dlsh gets hot and water stays cool, do not use lt.
