8 MICROWA VE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , w alls and cei ling and pass through th e turnt able and appropriate cookware to the food.
9 Cookware an d Dinnerware Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur ntabl e. Always us e oven mitts or pot holders when ha ndling becau se any di sh may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and d i nnerwa re w ith gold or silver trim.
10 Mi crow av e C o oki ng P owe r Many recipes for micr owave cooking specify wh ich cooking power to use by percent or name. For example, 70%=Medium-High. Use the follow ing chart as a general guide for the suggested cooking power of specific foods.
11 Quick T ouch Cookin g The Quick T ouch menu pads provide convenie nt access t o preset cooking programs for common m i crowavable foods. Use the following chart as a guid e. * Do not use r egular paper bags or glassware. Do not try to pop unpopped kernels.

14 MICROWAVE OVEN CAR E Gener al Cleani ng IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the mic rowave oven is cool. Alway s follow label i nstructions on cleaning product s. Soap, water and a soft cloth or s ponge are suggested first unless otherwi s e noted.
15 Replacing F ilters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned at least once a month. Do not operate the microwave oven or exhaust fan without the grease fil ters in place. The charcoal filte rs cannot be washed a nd should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
16 Replacing Microwave Oven Light The microwave oven lig ht is a candelab ra base bulb . It will automatical ly come on when the door is opened and when the microwave oven is operat ing. See “As sistance or Servic e” section to reorder . T o Replace: 1.
