Getting ready to hang the TV Select the location where you want to mount the TV . Clear the area of all furniture and electronics. Y ou will need some elbow room to mount the TV .

Using the 8190 Adapter Plates Some TVs have lar ger m ounting confi gurations (2 00 x 200, 20 0 x 150, or 200 x 100), an d the Monito r Plat e (MP ) alo ne can not r each t hese holes. If this is the cas e for yo ur TV , yo u need to use the inclu ded 8 190 A dapter Plates (A P).
10 English Step 2: Securing the W all Mount Finding a wood stud to mount to Using a stud finder , determine the exact location of the stud to which you want to attach the wall mount. Using an electronic stud finder works best because it gives you an indication of where the right and left sides of the stud are.

12 English Using the Installation T emplate The Installation T emplate (IT) included in this kit helps you select the correct positions for drilling the holes for the TV mounting.
13 English When you have prepared the holes for mounting the wall mount, screw two of the Lag Bolts (T) three-quarters of the way into the holes. Leave enough room so you can slip the W all Mount (WM) over the screws. Install the wall mount as shown without tightening the screws completely .
14 English When mounting to solid concrete, bricks, or cinder block Figure 9 Concrete Block W all Because drilling an accurate and clean hole is essential to securing your mount, be sure to use a new drill bit.
15 English Figure 11 WM U T After the holes are drilled, remove the template and place the ALLIGA TOR ® Anchor (U) into the concrete wall as shown in Figure 10. After you have prepared the two holes for mounting the wall mount, screw the two bottom Lag Bolts (T) three-quarters of the way into the holes.
16 English Preparing the security screws Y ou need to mount the Monitor Plate (MP) onto the W all Mount (WM). T o ensure it does not come off, you use two screws to secure the parts together . Y ou have two choices of screw sizes. For TVs under 20" (508mm) you can use the shorter 16mm Securit y Screws (X).
17 English Figure 12B (For TVs over 20") WM V W If your audio, video, and power cables will not be accessible after you mount the TV , you need to make those connections now . Before doing this, however , make sure all TV and component power cords are not plugged into any electrical outlets and your audio and video equipment is turned off.
18 English Mounting the TV When you’re ready to put the Monitor Plate (MP) onto the W all Mount (WM), get a friend or an assistant to help you lift the TV and guide the Monitor Plate onto the W all Mount as shown in Figure 13.
