Now you can take advantage of this gr eat new technology and gain the fr eedom to network your home and of fice computers wirelessly . This Adapter allows you to connect a notebook computer to your network.
2 Intr oduction 2 Placement of y our Wir eless Networking Hardwar e for Optimal Performance Y our wireless connection will be stronger the closer your computer is to your wir eless router (or access point). T ypical indoor operating range for your wir eless devices is between 100 and 200 feet.

Remove the cap befor e inserting the Adapter to your computer’ s USB port or through the provided Desktop Stand. (b) Power/Activity LED Lights when the Adapter is power ed on and flashes when it is active.

The “Current Status” tab displays the current Network Status and Available Networks. Network Status This window displays the connectivity status of the current network.

Depending on the security level (64- or 128-bit), the user will be asked to input a 10- or 26-character hex key .

Each of your computers on your wireless network will now must be configured with the same security settings.

Look at the lights on your wireless router . If you’re using a Belkin Wireless Router , the lights should be as follows: • The “Power” light should be on.
