28 Remote Inst allation Step 1 Identifyingthe IP Addr ess Once your Switch has been connected to your network and is powered up, a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server on your network will automatically assign the Switch an IP address, gateway addr ess, and subnet mask.
