1 1 Installing the T V Inspecting the P ackage Contents Before installing your new TV , take a moment to inspect the package contents. Use the images below to ensure nothing is missing or damaged. When you have completed your inspection, install the TV .

5 11 E321ME Scanning for Channels Before the TV can detect and display channels and their associated information, you must scan for channels. A channel scan may also be necessary when the TV has been moved to an area wher e different fr ee-to-air broadcast television channels are available.
12 5 E321ME Adjusting the TV Settings for Use with A PC Y our TV can be used to display output from a home computer using the RGB port. These settings are only available when viewing content fr om the RGB port. T o adjust the PC settings: 1. Press the MENU button on the r emote.
5 13 E321ME Locking and Unlocking Channels When a channel is locked, it will be inaccessible. Locking a channel is a good way to prevent childr en from viewing inappropriate material. T o lock or unlock a channel: 1. From the Par ental Controls menu, highlight Channel Locks and press OK .
14 5 E321ME Setting the TV Button Locks WARNING: If you set User Contr ol Lock to On and you lose your TV’ s remote contr ol, you will be unable to use the buttons on the TV . Please use caution when setting this lock. Y ou can lock the buttons on the side of the TV so that the TV can only be contr olled by the remote.

20 6 E321ME Setting Up Closed Captioning Y our TV can display closed captions for programs that include them. Closed captions display a transcription of a program’ s dialogue. If the program you ar e viewing is not being broadcast with closed captions, the TV will not display them.
