30 Preparations Y ou can enjoy v arious pictures of discs or connected equipments by changing the A V mode. Change it depending on your needs. Press MODE repeatedly to select the A V mode. Each time you press MODE, the A V mode changes on the screen as below .

32 Playback Loading a disc For disc compatibility inf ormation, see page 20 . 1 Open the LCD monitor . No open buttons to open. The LCD monitor is fi xed b y magnet. 2 Press OPEN on the main unit. The disc cover opens . Before using the pla yer for the fi rst time, remov e the protective sheet beneath the disc cov er .
33 Playback Connecting to headphones Y ou can connect headphones to the headphone jack using a stereo mini plug. Stereo mini plug ( 3.5mm) Use commercially availab le headphones. Connect either of these jacks. ・ Before connecting, temporarily turn down the volume with the headphone volume control.

36 Playback ■ About the screen saver If 20 minutes elapse while the power is on and there is no disc in the play er or while the disc is stopped, the screen sav er is automatically displayed (when “Screen sav er” (ref er to “Function Settings”) is set to “On” ).

40 Playback Playing in random or der 1 During playbac k, press RANDOM to display “Shuffl e on” on the screen. Each time you press the button, the r andom mode “Shuffl e on” and “Shuffl e Off ” alternate. The mode on the screen will disappear in a fe w seconds if not operated.
41 Playback Repeating a title, c hapter or track 1 During playbac k, press REPEA T repeatedly to select the repeat mode. Each time you press the button, the repeat mode changes on the screen. Repeat playbac k star ts after fi nishing the current chapter or track.
