PREF ACE CONGRATULATIONS You have just acquired the most advan ced and versatile componen t for the amplification of audio ever to have been developed. IMPORTANT Save all packaging in a dry place away from fire haz ards. Your Dreadnau ght II is a precision electronic instrument and should be properly pa ckaged any time ship ment is made.
The lightning flash with arrow head symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the us er to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” withi n the product’s enclosu re that may be of significant magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

INTRODUCTION Getting to know your Dreadnaught II This Dreadnaught II has b een put through a rigo rous and un ique testing proced ure that ensures that it will last for many years with minimal service requi rements.
IMPORTANT NOTICE I. It is imperative that the Dreadna ught II be connected to a ground via its three wi re AC power cord. It is important that the AC powe r outlet, which the Dr eadnaught II i s plugged into, is actually grou nded. Failure to do so will severely compro mise the performance, reliability and safety of use of the Dreadnaught II.

When the re ar panel SURROUND TRIGGER jack receives a 5 -12 VDC pulse the Dreadnaught II’s surro und mode will change from its current status, either on or off.
OPERA TION Before turning on the Dreadnaught II, en sure that all precautio ns and warnings have bee n carefully reviewed and adhered to. Da mage to the Dreadnaug ht II caused by impro per operation, wiring and/or ventilation will not be covered under warranty and Thet a will not be liable for any consequential damage or lo ss.
Appendix A Troubleshooting Guide If the Dreadnaught II should function abnormally during op er ation, please review the items in the following checklist. Please be su re to thoroughly check all other conne cted components such as spea kers, preamplifiers, as well as cables.
Appendix B Wiring Diagram This section provides an e xample illustration of an input and output wiring scheme. In this example, the Dreadnaug ht II has 3 single channel s and two 2 channel m odules installed. Before making any conne ctions, please turn off A LL audio and video devices.
Appendix C RS232 Protocol RS232 settings are intern ally definable via jumper blocks, to a ccommodate interfacing with a wide range of cont rol products. Baud rate 9600 or 19200 Echo status AUTO or REQUEST Baud rate: Maximum number of bits per second.
