Page 7 Using the Calculator To use the CDM L Advanced C alculator, you can click on the buttons or use the key- board to enter numbers and operators. You can also use the T ab key to move be- tween buttons and press the Space Bar w hen you reach the button that you w ant.

Page 19 Modes Menu Financial This w ill display the result of your calcula- tions in a currency format (i.e. 5 w ill be 5.00, 3.2 will be 3.20 and 4.006 w ill be 4.01). The number of visible decimal places depends directly on your setting for the number of decimal places you w ish to see.
Page 20 Repeat Subtraction If this option is checked, then you can repetitively press Minus ("-") for subtrac- tion. NOTE: If this mode is turned on, you w ill need to use the Change Sign option on the Operators M enu or the "+/-" button on the calculator to enter negative num- bers.

Page 24 Copy Formatted Allow s you to copy the contents of th e Readout in form atted form. Select Printer Allows you to select w hich printer you w ish to print your tape to (useful if you have multiple printers or w ant to fax the tape). Set Alarms Use this option to set your Reminder Alarms.

Page 27 Financial Functions Financial functions are used for various financial calculations. To use these func- tions you must answ er the questions asked and the result will appear on tape to- gether with your answ ers.

Straight Line Depreciation Returns the straight line depreciation of an asset for a single period.

Page 37 Time/Date Calculations Use this screen to calculate the dif- ference between tw o Time and/or Date values. T he result is returned in two formats: 1. Standard Difference in Days, Hours, M inutes and Seconds. 2. Unit Difference in each of the following units: y ear, month, day, hour, minute or second.
Page 38 Time Entry Use this screen to enter time for Time/Date Calculation. When you first open the Time Entry screen, it w ill show y ou current time. Hours, Minutes, Seconds Type in the proper v alues or use the up/down buttons. AM/ PM If you are using the 12 hour mode, then you can use the up/dow n but- tons to change the AM/PM value.

Page 41 Reminder Alarms Use this screen to set your Reminder Alarms. Alarms can be enabled or disabled from the Properties Menu. Ty pe Of A larm Select the type of alarm you w ish to set. Message - A message that y ou entered will be display ed. File - Launch a file.
