3 Quick Reference Inst alli ng Batt eries Before using your SP T 1500, you must install two AAA alkaline batteries. The b atteries fit behi nd the ba ttery door on the b ack of the SP T 1500. Note: Battery life may change with different manufacturers.
4 SPT 1500 3. Replac e the ba ttery d oor so that it is flush with the back of the SP T 150 0 and “ clicks” into posit ion. Note: Do not force the battery d oor. When the batteries are correctly installed, the battery door clips smoothly into place.
5 Quick Reference T o calibrate your S PT 1500: 1. Pres s the gree n powe r butt on on t he front panel of your S PT 1500 to di splay the cali bration scree n. Note: If necessar y, adjust the contrast contro l located on the side of the SP T 15 00 so the screen is clear and readab le.

11 Quick Reference T r ouble shootin g SPT 1500 ter minal does no t turn on: • Adjust the contrast control. • Make sure batt eries are instal led pro perly • Replac e the batteri es. If your SP T 1500 termin al still does n ot operate, try a soft reset; see Resetting Your S PT 1500™.

14 SPT 1500 Resetting Your SPT 150 0 Terminal Under n ormal circu mstances, you will never ha ve to u se the res et button. Howeve r, on rare oc casions you r SPT 1500 terminal may “hang” (n o longer respo nd to buttons or the sc reen). In this c ase, you need to pe rform a reset to get your SP T 1500 ter minal running again.
