Prepar e the W or k Area 1. Before you service the equipment, unfold the g r ounding-kit work surface completely and place it on a conv enient surface.

Standard Installation Procedure 1-10 Revision L 96053 The librar y uses the pow er cable’ s g round point for its earth-g round connection. All electrical connections, either directly to the wall or to a pow er strip in the rack, must be properly g rounded.

The module stores a capacity of either 20 or 40 cells . The librar y does not operate properly unless an authorize d module is attached to the rear of the EM.

Standard Installation Procedure 1-24 Revision L 96053 The drive interfaces are SCSI high voltag e differential (HVD) or SCSI low v oltag e differential (LVD). The HVD interface allows long er cable lengths , but throughput is slow er than with the LVD interface.
