The lithium battery has a typical life of three years, after which the battery may be too weak to power the CMOS memory .

V AIO Digital Studio System Reference Manual 36 Removing a Memory Module Y ou may need to remove a memory module if you change the memory configuration or replace a bad module. By default, your computer ’s memory sockets are filled with DDR-DIMM modules.

Upgrading and Maintaining Components 39 Installing Memory Modules Y our system supports PC2700 DDR-SDRAM memory modules. The DDR-DIMM memory modules can be single- or double-sided and installed in either socket. 1 Choose the size of the memory module and configuration as shown in the following table.

If air escapes, the components inside the computer cannot be properly cooled. This may damage some components, especially the main processor , which generates the most heat.

Th e har d disk drive access light is lit when either drive is activated, however , the drives are not accessible from t h e f r o nt p a n e l .
