15 Playing Discs Depending on the DVD or VIDEO CD, some operations may be different or r estricted. Refer to the instructions supplied with your disc. 1 Make settings on your TV . T urn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view the pictures fr om this player .

17 Playing Discs Y ou can locate a particular point on a disc by monitoring the picture, playing back slowly or playing frame by frame. Note Depending on the DVD/VIDEO CD, you may not be able to do some of the operations described.
18 Playing Discs The player stores the point wher e you stopped the disc and if “RESUME” appears on the front panel display . Y ou can resume playback fr om that point. As long as you do not open the disc tray , Resume Play is available even if you turn the power off.
19 Playing Discs TITLE ? / > / . / / ENTER DVD MENU Using the title menu A DVD is divided into long sections of a picture or a music piece called “titles.” When you play a DVD which contains several titles, you can select the title you want using the title menu.

41 Enjoying Karaoke Adjusting the microphone 1 Set the MIC 1/2 LEVEL control of the MIC connector to MIN. 2 Plug a microphone (not supplied) into the MIC connector . When a microphone is connected to the MIC 1 or 2 connector , the player enters karaoke mode.

44 Enjoying Karaoke Pausing at the End of Each T rack (AUTO P AUSE) Y ou can set the player to pause every time a track is played. Press AUTO P AUSE in karaoke mode.
