Getting Started 27 GB If your TV does not accept progressive sign als and progressive format is set by mistake The image may not appear, or will appear disto rted. In this case, se t the COMPONENT VIDEO OU T/ SCAN SELEC T switch on the rear panel of the s ubwoofer to INTE RLACE.
28 GB Connect to a T V with audio output jacks Connect the AUDIO OUT (L/R) jacks ( 1 ) to th e VIDEO or SAT AUDIO IN (L/R) jacks of th is subw oofer wi th audio cords (n ot suppl ied). If you r TV does not have the AUD IO OU T (L/R) ja cks, you cann ot outp ut the TV so und fr om the spe akers of this subw oofer .

Getting Started 33 GB To hang the IR transmitter on a wall 1 Prepare two screws (not suppl ied) that are suitable for the holes on the back of the IR transmitter. See the illustrations belo w. 2 Fasten the screws to the wall. The screws should protrude 4 mm ( 3 / 16 inch ).
34 GB After compl e ting t he first 5 steps, make initi a l sett ings using the Quic k Setup. You can set the initial setting of [LANGUAGE SETUP], [ROOM SIZE], [LISTENING POSITION], and [TV TYPE] st e p by step . After perf o rming the Quick Setup, the system is ready for playing ba ck of movies , music CDs, etc.
Getting Started 35 GB 7 Select a suitable ro om size fro m [SMALL], [M EDIUM] , or [LARGE ] using X / x , then press ENT ER. Setting is selected and [LISTENING POSITION ] appea rs. The [LISTENING P OSITION] nu mber you can sel ect va ries, depend ing o n the [ROO M SIZE] se tting.

Getting Started 37 GB Attaching the front sp eakers to th e speaker stan ds 1 Thread the spea ker cord through th e hole in the bottom of the speaker stand. 2 Thread the spea ker cord through th e post of the speaker stand, and connect it to the speaker.
38 GB 5 Attach the cover. Note s • Set both speakers to the same he ight. • You can install the front and surroun d speakers on optional spea ker stands (W S-FV20 or WS-F V11). When detaching the speakers from their stands Insert a flathe ad sc rewdriver (n ot supplie d) into the notch of the cover, and remove the cove r from the stan d.

To mount the front speak ers hor izontal ly, follo w the proc edure to instal l the cent er speak er. 1 Prepare screws (not supplied) that are suitable for the hole on the back of each speaker.

Play ing D iscs 45 GB A DVD is divid ed into a l o t of sec tions, which make up a pictu re or music fe ature . These sectio ns are ca lled “t itles.” When you play a DVD which conta ins severa l titles, you can select t he title y ou want using DVD TOP MENU/ALBUM–.
46 GB With P BC (Play back Cont rol) fu nctions, you can en joy simpl e in tera ctiv e operat ions, sea rch funct ions, and o ther suc h operat ions. PBC play back a llows you to play VID EO CDs interacti vely by fo llowing the menu on the TV screen .
Play ing D iscs 47 GB You ca n play MP3 audi o track s on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, or C D-R Ws. H owe ver, t he discs must be recorded according to ISO9660 le vel 1, level 2, or Jolie t format for th e system to recognize the tracks . You can also play disc s reco rded in Mult i Sessi on.
