7 GB About this Manual • The instructions in this manual describe the controls on the remote. Y ou can also use the controls on the system if they ha ve the same or similar names as those on the remote.
8 GB Y ou can Enjoy video playback (moving pictures) as w ell as music. Play interacti ve software using menu screens displayed on the TV screen (PBC Playback), in addition to the video playback functions of V er 1.1 discs. 52 GB Enjoying movies with Cinema Studio EX Cinema Studio EX is ideal for enjoying the movie software encoded with multi channel format, such as the Dolby Digital D VD. This mode reproduces the sound characteristics of Sony Pictures Entertainment’ s studios.
Sound Adjustments 53 GB N. SURROUND (Normal Surround) Software with multi channel surround audio signals is played back according to the way it was recorded. Software with 2 channel audio signals is decoded with Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Pro Logic II to create surround ef fects (pag e 29).

Other Operations 63 GB Controlling the TV Y ou can control your TV using the b uttons belo w . By pressing Y ou can TV [ / 1 T urn the TV on or off. TV/VIDEO Switch the TV’ s input source between the TV and other input sources.
