Safety instructions 2 1. Safety and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLI ANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRUCTI ONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.
Safety instructions 3 OBSOLETE APPLIANCES MUST BE RENDERED UNUSABLE. CUT OFF THE MAINS POWER CORD AFTER UNPLU GGING IT FROM THE WALL OUTLET, AND MAKE SAFE ANY COMPONENTS WHICH MIGHT BE DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN (LOCKS, DOORS, ETC.
Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MA Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER RESIDUES WHICH MAY BE PRESENT INSIDE THE DISHES OR DISHWASHER AT THE END OF THE WASHING PROGRAM AND BEFORE THE DRYING CYCLE.
Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up against walls or oth er furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water supply with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied with the dishwasher. Take care to screw the hose firmly into place with your h ands and then complete b y tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers .
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Upper panel All the dishwasher controls are gr ou ped on the upper panel. Switch-on, programming, switch-off etc. procedur es are onl y possible when the door is open. 1 ON/OFF BUTTON Pressing this button energises the appl iance.

User instructions 16 3.2 Washing pro grams Before starting a washing program make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly lo aded. • The spray arms are abl e to rotate freely and without obstruction.
User instructions 17 SPREAD HALF LOA D (available in all progra ms except the soak program) When there are n ot many dishes to be watched, the “spr ead half load” option, controlled by button (10) is useful; it saves water and electricit y and reduces the pro gram’s duration.
User instructions 18 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currentl y sele cted program, open the door and h old down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displ ayed on the window).
User instructions 19 TO SAVE ON ENERGY! … AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT • Always try to r un the dishw asher fully loaded . • Do not wash t he dishes in r unning water. • Use th e washing program t hat is most appropriate for each type of load. • Do not carry out any prelim inary rinsing.
User instructions 20 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepa re for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deterge nt.
User instructions 21 • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r ege nerating salt container before starting the washing progra m .

User instructions 23 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 24 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 25 "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents w hich already contain salt and ri nse aid, check whether your dishw asher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page an d then refer to the section which explains how to use this function.
User instructions 26 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 27 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 14 place-settings , including serv ing dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degre e of soiling.
User instructions 28 Supports for cups and long objects (ladles, spoons, etc.), in the rear; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. Glass holder. Support for long- stem glasses. When lifted out of the stowed position (0) it snaps into three different positions (1-2-3).
User instructions 29 To lie completely flat, lift the end an d turn it towards you so that the retainer F rotates into place above point S . LOADING THE LOWER BA SKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert and se rving dishes, positioning them vertically.
User instructions 30 TOP CUTLERY BASKET The basket is desi gned to take cutlery, plac ed in the spaces provided, and long utensils, pos itioned length wise. The “drawer” extraction system makes the basket easier to load, but it can also be taken completel y off its runners by removing the retainers (as shown here).
User instructions 31 CUTLERY BASKET The basket has remo v able top grids into which items of cutlery should be inserted to keep them properl y spaced and allo w water to pass between them effectivel y. The top grids a nd central lid are i n the bag of accessories .
User instructions 32 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medium-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, s hallow bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.

User instructions 34 Depending on the mode ls, the basket may be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 35 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET The height of the top b asket can be adjusted to allow large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure ma y be type A or B , depending on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 36 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the a ll-pole dis connection devic e. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 37 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to peri odically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlock.
User instructions 38 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water s upply tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 39 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality an d has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).
User instructions 40 6. T roubleshooting The dishwasher is abl e to indicate a series of malfunctions by illuminating a numb er of lights simultaneousl y (see key below); “E” or “Err” (d epending on the model) also a ppears on the displa y in the event of a malfunction.
