Safety instructions 2 1. Safet y and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLI ANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.
Safety instructions 3 OBSOLETE APPLIANCES MUST BE RENDERED UNUSABLE. CUT OFF THE MAINS POWER CORD AFTER UNPLUGGI NG IT FROM THE WALL OUTLET, AND MAKE SAFE ANY COMPONENTS WHICH MIGHT BE DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN (LOCKS, DOORS, ETC.
Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MA Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER RESIDUES WHICH MAY BE PRESENT INSIDE THE DISHES OR DISHWASHER AT THE END OF THE WASHING PROGRAM AND BEFORE THE DRYING CYCLE.
Installation instructions 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up a gainst walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage : if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long t ime, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of impu rities, to prevent damage to the appliance.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Front panel All the dishwasher's controls and in dicators are located on the front panel. Programming and option selection are onl y possible with the door closed .
User instructions SETTING THE WASHING PROGRA M To select the most suitable washi ng program, refer to the table below which indicates the recommend ed washing according to dish type and the degree of soiling.

User instructions 3.3 Washing programs The dishwasher is equ ipped with a control panel and an INFORM A TION DISPLAY (8) , described in chapter " 1. Descri ption of the c ontrols", from which it is possible to carr y out all the power switch-on, s w itch-off and programming operations.
User instructions 13 HALF-LOAD FUNCTION (available in all programs except the soak program) This function is recommended for loads of up to 7 p lace-settings , and cuts down on the use of water and electricity.

DELAYING THE soak program) The PROGRA M DELAY button (4) can be pressed to delay the start of the washing program by up to 12 hours .
User instructions 15 "3/1" OPTION BUTTON (available in all programs except the soak program) By pressing the button (6) you activate the " 3/1 " option, confirmed when the relative light comes on.
User instructions STARTING THE DISHWASHER After correctly carrying out all the preceding op erations, to start the dishwasher simply press the START/PAUSE button (3) for a few seconds, until the start cycle acoustic dev ice sounds. The INFORM A TION DISPLAY (8) will sho w the duration of the program in minutes.
User instructions 17 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and detergent.
User instructions • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substa nces which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt co ntainer before starting the washing program .

User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 21 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions • "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rinse aid, check whether your dis hwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then ref er to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 23 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small objects in the bask ets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 14 place-settings , including serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 25 In the front there are one or t wo supports (depending on the models) for small plates (B) . To use them, they have to be turned towards the front of the dishwasher. LOADING THE LOWER BASKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert and serving dishes, positioning them vertically.
User instructions 26 CUTLERY BASKET Cutlery must be placed with the tips fac ing downward . Long items of cutler y (ladles, wooden spoons, kitchen knives, etc.), which might interfere with the upper spr ay arm must be placed in the upper basket , ensuring that knife tips do not proj ect from the basket.
User instructions 27 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medium-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shall ow bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.
User instructions Depending on the models, the basket ma y be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 29 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET Version A : the upp er basket can be adjuste d in two positions , according to the user’s needs and according to the h eight of the dishes in the lower basket.
User instructions Version C: the top basket can be set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides. To raise the basket lift it, pulling on the fr ont edge (1) , to the first or second catch depending on the height required.
User instructions 31 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pole disconnection dev ice. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to periodic ally inspect the centre filter C a nd, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlockwi.
User instructions 33 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no depo sits of sludge or rust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water s upply tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse ai d inside the special container; • the rinse aid di spenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).

Check that: • the water supply tap is open; • the filter in the water intake ho se is not clogged; • the water intake hose is not kinked or bent; Turn the dishwasher off and then on agai n, then press the START/PAUSE button (3) again.
