Installation instructions 2. Installation and hook-up Remove th e polystyrene basket retainer s. Position t he appl iance in th e desired plac e of instal lation. The back or sides o f the di shwasher may be placed up against w alls or other furniture u nits.
Installation instructions 2.1 Wa ter supply connec tion Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long tim e, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is cl ear and free of impurities, to prevent damage to the appliance.

User instructions 3. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher ha s been correctly insta lled, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the water softeni ng system; • Add the rege nerating sa lt; • Add the rin se aid and deter gent.
User instructions • Do not use table salt as it contains i nsoluble substances whic h, over time, m ay damage the w ater softenin g system. • When neces sary, refill the r egenerating salt conta iner befo re starting the washi ng program .
User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale deposits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cyc le, from the cont ainer situated on t he inner si de of the door .

Long items of cutlery (ladles, wooden spoon s, kitchen kn ives, etc.), which mi ght interfere w ith the upper spray arm must be placed in the upper basket , ensuring that kn ife tips d o not project fro m the basket.
User instructions UPPER BASKET It is recom mended to lo ad the upper basket with small- or medi um-sized items s uch as gl asses, smal l plates, tea or coffee cup s, shallow bow ls and light object s made fro m heat resistant plastic.
User instructions ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET T he upper basket can be adjust ed in two positions , according to the us er’s needs and according to th e height of th e dishes in the lower basket. Pro ceed as follow s. • pull out the b asket to it s limit posi tion and pull the right side upwards.

48 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposit s of sludge or r ust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the w ater to run from the water supply tap for a few minut es. • Plug the power cor d back into t he socket.
