2 All image adjustments can be perfor med with the remote contr ol with the aid Ôf the On Screen Display; alternatively , the unit can be controlled by fr om a home automation system through the serial port.

7 CONNECTING THE VIDEO SOURCES Connect the cables from the video sour ces, the serial cable from the external control unit and the optical fibr e cables for connection to the Display , to the rear panel of the DigiOptic ™ Image Processor .

10 The RTX system consists of the Display and the DigiOptic ™ Image Processor (which is also the system contr ol centr e). The DigiOptic ™ Image Processor sends commands to the Display and r eceives operating status information from the Display and function commands from the user .

12 6 REMO TE CONTR OL The remote contr ol transmits commands to the system by infrared signals. There ar e two infrared sensors, one at the fr ont of the Display and one on the front panel of the DigiOptic ™ Image Processor .

14 BRIGHTNESS Use this control to adjust the image ’ s black level without affecting white ar eas. Increasing the value will give mor e detail in darker parts of the picture.

16 OVERSCAN Remove noise around image. Some sour ces can produce a picture with noise along edges, thanks to the overscan function it is possible to drop such imperfections outside the projected area. The overscan value can be included between 0 (no overscan) and 32 (maximum value).

18 F1/F2 KEYS This allows to assign differ ent functions to the remote contr ol keys, named F1 and F2. The window is made of 4 options (Fig.17) , once for each line and by two columns showing the F1-F2 keys.
19 MEMORIES The main parameters of the image may be saved in distinct groups of values (known as ‘ Memories ’ ); these parameters can subsequently be applied all together by way of a single com- mand.
20 INFO Displays the current status of the Display and information concerning the projected video/graphic signal. This function is displayed on pressing on the remote contr ol (or , in the absence of the On Screen Display , the key on the remote contr ol).
