English 1 How This Manual Is Organized This manual cont ains several sections: •T h e Getting S tarted se ction describes the features and functionality of the range, including a description of how to set up the range and operate the control panel. •T h e Operat ion sections describe how to operate each rang e component.
English 2 Import ant Safety Instructions READ AND SA VE TH ESE INSTRUCTIONS Import ant Safety Instructions • All ranges can tip. Injury to persons cou ld result. Install anti-tip device pack- aged with range. V erify that the anti-tip devices are engaged.
Safety English 3 • In the event that personal clothing or hair catches fire, dr op and roll immedi- ately to extinguish flames. • Smother flames from food fires other th an grease fires with bakin g soda.
Safety English 4 Gas Safety • T o prevent car bon monoxide build-up, do not block appliance air ve nts. • Have the insta ller show you where the gas shut-off valve is lo cated. • If a burner goes out and ga s escapes, open windows and doors. W ait until gas dissipates befor e using the appliance.
Safety English 5 • Do not heat or warm unopened food containers. Build-up of pr essure may cause the container to burst and caus e injury . • Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If a rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder cont act the heating element s.
Safety English 6 • Keep oven free from grease build up. Cookware Safety • Do not place food di rectly on oven bottom. • Follow the manufacturer's directions when using cooking or roasting bags. • Hold the handle of the pan whe n stirring or turning food.
Safety English 7 Food Safety CAUTION: T o maintain food safety , follow these guidelines: 1) DO NOT use the warming drawer to heat cold food (excep- tion: it is safe to use the drawer to crisp crackers, chip s or dry cereal and to warm pla tes. 2) Be sure to maint ain proper food temp erature.
English 8 Part s and Accessories Sealed Gas Burner s The cooktop has sealed gas burner s. As a result, there are no part s under the cooktop to clean, disassembl e or adjust. S pills stay on top of the cooktop where they are easier to wipe up. Burner Cap s The cooktop has four bur ner caps.

Burner Grat es W ARNING: T o prevent flare-ups, do no t use the cooktop without all burner cap s and all burner grates properly po siti oned.

A Beep al so signals the end of a program or an oven er ror . End-of-Cycle Ind icator - T o indicate when a mode is finish ed, 3 consecutive beeps will sound.
Getting S tarted English 14 Control (Panel) Oven Control Panel Y ou control the operation of the ra nge by using the touch pads, dial and control knobs. The touchp ads, in conjunct ion with the dial, are used to select an oven mod e, set the oven temperature, set the time(s) and to set up your range.
Getting S tarted English 15 The Clock About the Clock • Always set the clock after inst allation or after a p ower failure. Once power returns to the oven , the cloc k defaults to 12 :00 am. • The time of day is displayed in hours and minutes. • The clock time will appear during all oven operations except when the timer is running.
Getting S tarted English 16 4. T urn knob to select volume level Low , Medium or High. 5. Press ST ART . Change th e T emperatur e Scale The oven has bee n preset to the Fahren heit temperature scale. Th e feature allows you to switch b etween Fa hrenheit an d Celsius tem perature.
Getting S tarted English 17 Reset the Factory Set- tings This feature is used to change all the “Select Functions” se ttings back to the original factory sett ings (or defaults). 1. Access SELECT FUNCTIONS Menu. 2. T urn knob clockwise until R ESET DEF AUL TS is displayed.
Getting S tarted English 18 8. Press ST ART . Oven st arts af ter 5 seconds. Sabbath Feature is activated for both the warming dr awer and the oven. The oven and warming drawer op erate for 73 hours and then turn of f automati- cally .
English 19 This section explains how to operate th e cooktop. See “Getting the Most Out of Y our Cooktop” on page 28 for guidelines to impr ove cooktop results. About the Cooktop Use the cooktop for surface cooking applications such as boiling, frying, simmer- ing, steaming and sauteing.
Operation - Cooktop English 20 CAUTION: T o prevent possible burns, the flame should not extend beyond the edge of the cookware. This instruction is based on safety consid er- ations. Damage to the cookwar e or the appliance may also result. T urning the Burner off T urn knob clockwise to the OFF position.

About the Oven Operation CAUTION: Do not use aluminum foil or protective liners to line any part of an appliance, especially surface unit drip bowls or oven botto m.
Operation - Oven English 22 Hot Oven Indicator After the oven has b een turned off, HOT appea rs in the display where the cook- ing mode wa s to indicate that the ov en is off but still hot. When the oven t emper- ature drops belo w 176° F , HOT is no longer seen in the display .
Operation - Oven English 23 3. Press ST ART . 4. Turn knob to select de sired temp erature. Note: T ime required for the oven to reach tempera ture must be included in the set cooking time. 5. Press TIME. TIMED BAKE appears. 6. Press TIME. SET BAKE TI ME appears in the display and minu tes flash.
Operation - Oven English 24 Setting the Probe 1. Prepar e meat and place in roasting p an (or on rack in roastin g pan as recipe specifies). Insert the probe into the meat. See “Inserting the Probe” on page 30 for det ailed instructions. Make su r e the probe is not touching gris- tle, fat, bone, the roast rack o r the pan.

T ry the fol- lowing tips to decrease boil time: • Use a lid. • Use a pan that is appropr iately sized fo r the amount of water and th e size of the burner .

Import ant: Do not use Commercial Oven Cleaner s on the self-clean oven or any part because they will damage the finish or part.
