1 CHAPTER 1 Product Overview Features and Benefit s The Avocent AutoView ® Wireless Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switch provides connectivity from monitors, keyboards, mice and audio d evices to computers without cables. The 802.11 a-based design is a hardware-on ly solution requiring no new operating system, drivers or application software.

Chapter 3: Basic Operations 11 Scanning your system In Scan mode, the switch automatically scans from port to port (compu ter to computer). You can scan up to 16 computers, spec ifying which computers to scan an d the number of seconds that each computer will display.

T o optimize video automatically: 1. Activate the OSD. 2. Cli ck Auto Setup . This will automat ically optimize your v ideo setup parameters.

Two modes are available: Comp uter and DVD. Co mputer mode uses minimal video bandwidth and is useful for KVM installations.

15 CHAPTER 4 Login Security Most advanced commands are accessed from the Security menu. T o access the Security menu: 1. Activate the OSD and click the Setup button to display th e Setup me nu . 2. Click the button marked Security . NOTE: AES security is always enabled.
