6 Installing Batteries in the Remote Control Before using the LCD TV set for the first time, install the two “AAA” size batteries supplied in the remote control. When the batteries become depleted and the remote control fails to operate, replace the batteries with new “AAA” size batteries.

1 3 Setting the CLOCK AUTO CLOCK Setting There are two methods of setting the clock: AUTO CLOCK and MANUAL CLOCK. AUTO CLOCK uses EDS signals, which are provided by some TV stations, to automatically adjust the clock. MANUAL CLOCK sets the clock manually in areas where no channel carries EDS signals.

3 1 A Note: • PC connection is not possible. • For the cable, use a commercially available audio/video cable. • Only connect audio/video signals to INPUT2 and INPUT3/OUTPUT terminals. Connecting other signals may result in a malfunction. • INPUT2 has 2 video input terminals: VIDEO and S-VIDEO.
32 Connecting External Devices (Continued) A • If your VCR (or other external devices) has an S-video terminal, S-VIDEO connection is recommended. (Use an S-video cable.) • When you connect external devices to both S-VIDEO and VIDEO terminals (and if you select “INPUT2”), you can only view pictures from the S-VIDEO terminal.
