4 T o mount the unit on the wall Caution: Be very careful to prevent the unit [2.45 kg (5.4 lbs.)] from falling when mounting on the w all. Befor e mounting, c heck the w all strength. (Do not put on the veneer plaster or whitewashed wall. The unit may fall.
5 Aerial connection ■ Supplied FM aerial: Connect the FM aerial wire to the FM 75 OHMS sock et and position the FM aer ial wire in the direction where the strongest signal can be r eceived. External FM aer ial: Use an external FM aerial (75 ohms coaxial cable) for better r eception.
6 Battery inst allation ■ Open the battery cov er . Inser t the supplied battery according to the terminal indicated in the battery compar tment. When i nserting or remo ving th e b atter y , p ush it to wa rds the (–) ba ttery termin als. Close the cov er .
7 T o t urn the power on ■ Pr ess the ON/ST AND-B Y button to turn the power on. After use: Pr ess the ON /ST AND-B Y b utton to en ter the po wer st and- b y mod e. Display brightness control ■ T o dim the displa y brightness, press the DIMMER button on the remote contr ol.

9 iPhone playbac k ■ Sound will only switch from iPhone to the main unit after authentication process is completed in appro ximately 1 0 seconds. Incoming calls will pause the playback. Once the calls are answered, the conversation can only be hear d through the built-in iPhone speaker .
10 Listening to the iPod, iPhone or iP ad (continued) T o disconnect iPod, iPhone or iPad ■ Simply remo ve the iP od or iPhone from the docking station or iP ad connector from USB terminal. It is safe to do so ev en dur ing pla yback. Caution: Stop button ( ) at main unit is inv alid during iP od function.

12 Random play ■ The tracks on the disc can be played in random order automatically . T o random play all tracks: Pr ess and hold the PL A Y MODE button on the remote control until “Random” appears. Press the / (CD / ) button. T o cancel random play: Pr ess the PL A Y MODE button again.

14 Listening to USB mass storage device/MP3 player (continued) T o play back USB/MP3 player with f older mode on ■ Pr ess the CD/USB button on the remote control or FUNCTION button repeatedly on main unit to select USB function. Connect the USB memory device that has MP3/WMA format les on the unit.

Pr ess the FUNCTION button on the main unit or TUNER button on the remote control repeatedly to select FM Stereo , FM Mono or AM. Pr ess the TUNING ( or ) button on main unit or remote contr ol to tune in to the desired station.
16 RDS is a broadcasting ser vice which a growing number of FM stations provide. These FM st ations send additional signals along with their regular programme signals. They send their st ation names, and inf ormation about the type of programme such as spor t, music, etc.
17 Notes for radio text: The rst 1 4 characters of the radio te xt will appear f or 4 seconds and then they will scroll acr oss the display . If you tune in to an RDS station which is not broadcasting any radio text, “No RT” will be displa yed when you switch to the radio te xt position.

19 Timer playback: The unit tur ns on and plays the desired source (CD, TUNER, USB, iP od, AUDIO IN) at a preset time. This unit has 2 types of timer: ONCE TIMER and DAIL Y TIMER. Once timer (“ ” indicator): Once timer play w orks for one time only at a preset time.
