1 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: READ CAREFULL Y AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE This oven is designed to be used on a countertop only . It is not designed to be built into a kitchen unit. Do not place the oven in a cabinet.
2 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Do not place the oven in areas where heat is generated. For example, close to a conventional oven. Do not install the oven in an area of high humidity or where moisture may collect. Do not store or use the oven outdoors.
3 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Use care when opening door . T o avoid burns from escaping heat and steam, let hot air or steam escape before removing or replacing food. Always open containers, popcorn makers, oven cooking bags, etc., away from the face and hands to avoid steam burns that can be caused by over boiling.
4 INST ALLA TION • When replacing the plug please ensure that you use a BSI or AST A approved plug to BS1363, this should be fi tted with a brown coloured 13 amp fuse approved by BSI or AST A to BS1362. If you have any doubt about electrical connection seek the help of a qualifi ed electrician.
5 OVEN DIAGRAM NOTE: Place the rack on glass tray as shown in Figure 1. W ARNING: The oven cavity , door , outer cabinet, accessories and dishes will become very hot, use thick dry oven gloves when removing the food or accessories from the oven to prevent burns.

7 IMPORT ANT INSTRUCTIONS WA TER T ANK Ensure the water tank is filled with room temperature drinking water before cooking with steam. 1. Pull the water tank towards you to remove. (Figure 1) 2. W ash the water tank when using for the fi rst time. 3.

11 AUTOMA TIC COOKING Automatic Operation can be used when cooking with steam, grill or microwave functions. Refer to each function for the details. There are 6 steam categories and 18 menus. Always cook food using steam tray and glass tray . Ensure the glass tray is on the lower position (position 2.

13 MANUAL COOKING Manual Cooking can be used in Steam, Grill, Combi and Microwave mode. Refer to the "Manual Cooking Chart" and "Food and Utensil Position Char t" below .
14 MANUAL COOKING Manual Steam has 2 options, Steam High and Steam Low . Always cook food using the steam tray and glass tray . See page 13 for the details. And see the important instructions on page 7-8. Use Steam High to steam foods such as chicken or vegetables.
15 MANUAL COOKING Grill The grill heating element at the top of the oven cavity has one power setting only . This mode does not use steam. This mode can be programmed for up to 99 minutes 50 seconds. It is only possible to cook on one layer using this mode.
16 MANUAL COOKING Microwave is fast and convenient for cooking, reheating and defrosting. First enter the cooking time then the power level. This mode does not use steam. This mode can be programmed for up to 99 minutes 50 seconds. There are 6 different power levels.

18 OTHER CONVENIENT FEA TURES Example: T o set the kitchen timer for 5 minutes. PROCEDURE 1 Enter the desired time by pressing TIME (5.00). 2 Open and close the door to activate Kitchen Timer function. Press INFO/KITCHEN TIMER once. 3 Use the Kitchen Timer as a minute timer or to monitor the standing time for cooked/defrosted food.
19 OTHER CONVENIENT FEA TURES This feature is normally used in store to demonstrate the product features. T o demonstrate, press INFO/KITCHEN TIMER 4 times (In F4). And then press ST ART/AUTO MINUTE . "dISP" will appear in the display . Cooking operations can now be demonstrated with no power in the oven.
20 CLEANING AND CARE CAUTION: DO NOT USE COMMERCIAL OVEN CLEANERS, STEAM CLEANERS, ABRASIVE, HARSH CLEANERS, ANY THA T CONT AIN SODIUM HYDROXIDE OR SCOURING P ADS ON ANY P ART OF YOUR MICROW A VE OVEN. Before cleaning, make sure the oven cavity , door , oven cabinet and accessories are completely cool.
21 TROUBLESHOOTING CHART Due to technical error, call your dealer or an authorised SHARP Ser vice Agent. The water in the internal steam system is frozen. Operate the oven with Grill without food for 10 minutes. See page 15. The time you set is over the maximum time for Steam High or Steam Low .

26 COOKBOOK About Utensils and Coverings The chart below will help you decide what utensils and coverings should be used in each mode. Small flat pieces of aluminum foil placed smoothly on food can be used to shield areas from cooking or defrosting too quickly .
27 COOKBOOK ACCESSORIES There are many microwave or heat-resistant accessories available for purchase. Evaluate careful- ly before you purchase so that they meet your needs. A microwave-safe thermometer will assist you in determining correct doneness and assure you that foods have been cooked to safe temperatures when using microwave-only cooking.
