Lift the front of the projector and pull the feet lock latches on both side of the projector . Release the feet lock latches to lock the adjustable feet and rotate the adjustable feet to a proper height and tilt.
16 Positioning the Projector For projector positioning, see the figures below . The projector should be set perpendicularly to the plane of the screen. Installation Note: • The brightness in the room has a great influence on picture quality . It is recommended to limit ambient lighting in order to obtain the best image.

20 Installation Connecting the AC Power Cord This projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 V or 200–240 V AC and it automatically selects the correct input voltage. It is designed to work with single-phase power systems having a grounded neutral conductor .

24 Basic Operation How to Operate the On-Screen Menu The projector can be adjusted or set via the On-Screen Menu. The menus have a hierarchical structure, with a main menu that is divided into submenus, which are further divided into other submenus. For each adjustment and setting procedure, refer to respective sections in this manual.

49 Keystone This function is used to store or reset the keystone correction when the AC power cord is unplugged. Store ....... Keep the keystone correction even when the AC power cord is unplugged. Reset ....... Release the keystone correction when the AC power cord is unplugged.

53 Setting Ceiling Rear Ceiling When this function is set to O n , the picture will be top/ bottom and left/right reversed. This function is used to project the image from a ceiling-mounted projector . Rear When this function is set to On , the picture will be left/right reversed.
54 Setting Arrow Pointer Pointer Y ou can emphasize a part of the projected image with this function. Use the Point ▲▼ buttons to choose Spotlight ( Large , Middle or Small ) , Arrow , Finger or Dot and press the SELECT button. See "Pointer Function" on page 14.
55 Setting Picture in Picture This function is used to project two videos simultaneously by placing a separate small sub screen within the main screen. (Picture in Picture combinations provided in this projector are shown on pages 78.) Only the sound on the main picture is heard, the sound on the sub picture cannot be heard.
56 Power management T imer left before Lamp is off . Power management For reducing power consumption as well as maintaining the lamp life, the Power management function turns off the projection lamp when the projector is not operated for a certain period.
57 Setting On start When this function is set to On , the projector will be automatically turned on just by connecting the AC power cord to a wall outlet. Note: Be sure to turn off the projector properly (see "T urning Off the Projector" on page 23).

64 The W ARNING indicator shows the state of the function which protects the projector . Check the state of the W ARNING indicator and the POWER indicator to take proper maintenance. W ARNING indicator The projector is shut down and the W ARNING indicator is blinking red.
65 Maintenance and Cleaning Filter prevents dust from accumulating on the optical elements inside the projector . Should the filters become clogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fans’ ef fectiveness and may result in internal heat buildup and adversely affect the life of the projector .
66 Maintenance and Cleaning Cleaning the Projector Cabinet Cleaning the Projection Lens Unplug the AC power cord before cleaning. Gently wipe the projection lens with a cleaning cloth that contains a small amount of non-abrasive camera lens cleaner or use a lens cleaning paper or commercially available air blower to clean the lens.
67 Maintenance and Cleaning When the projection lamp of the projector reaches its end of life, the Lamp replacement icon appears on the screen and LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow . Replace the lamp with a new one promptly . The timing when the LAMP REPLACE indicator should light is depending on the lamp mode.
68 Maintenance and Cleaning This projector uses a high-pressure lamp which must be handled carefully and properly . Improper handling may result in accidents, injury , or create a fire hazard. ● Lamp life may differ from lamp to lamp and according to the environment of use.
