After connecti ng an a larm de v ice, configure the in put condi tions f or the correspondin g alarm input cable via net wor k oper at ion on the ALARM SETTINGS screen. To use the a larm in put cable as Day / Night switching signal p ath, f ollow the st eps below.
Use a LAN cable no lon ger than 100 m (109.4 yards) wi th t he shield type CAT5 or high er. The sup ported Web bro wser is I nternet Explor er Ver. 6. 0 SP 2 or hig her, or Internet Explor er Ver.7.0. A bout the internet conne cti on Port f or war ding f or the v ideo por t must be enab led on the broad band router .
To pe rform f ocus adjus tment wit h the camera, r emove the dome co v er, c onnect the s upplie d cable t o t he MON OUT socket of th e camera, and con nec t a monito r to the cam er a using a vide o cable. ( A ) After adjus t ment, be sure to remove the monitor ca ble.
After ins ta lling the lens to the camer a, you need to perfo rm the following adju stments for the lens. A Angle o f View/ Focus Adju stment (FOCUS ASSIST ) B Iris Adju stme n t (IRIS) Using networ k operation, you can use the f oc us assist funct ion to adjust the focus .
3 A djust the lens orientation. Then a djust angle of view using the zoom ring, and the f oc us using t he buttons . PEAK HOLD: Shows the value of the maxi mum focus lev el. Follow th e steps below t o set up and con nec t th e camera to your PC . You can use al ar m video rec or din g, bidirec tion al audio communic at ions, and other stan dard feat ures of the camera, in add ition to normal liv e v ideo m onit oring. 1 Connect the power cable to the power terminal s.
To enable sur v eillance with clear v ideo im ages , adjus t the lens focus while view ing the subject on the FOCUS ASSIST screen displayed on t he monitor. After adjustme nt, be sur e t o remove t he monit or ca ble. 6 A ccess the c am e ra from your P C's W e b brows e r.
If you are oper ati ng the cam er a for the firs t ti me, ch eck the fac t ory default video/image c ondit ions on the CODEC/STREA M ING SETTING S screen. Change the de fault setting s as neces s ar y. For det ails, refer t o t he “CODEC/ S TREAMING SETTINGS ” sect ion.

The o peration pr ivileges of users who perf orm networ k operati on ar e divided into 3 levels (a dm in, oper ator, and guest) . Each use r who atte mpts to access the camera will be authen ticated by the user name and passwo rd at login and gr anted an appropriat e operation priv il ege.
If two or more users wit h the same oper ati on pri v ilege , for example, two admin us ers, log into the system, the user wh o lo g in l ast will take precedence. If you need to limit the PC s allowed (or dis all owed) to access the camera f or securit y reasons, you can regis t er the IP addres ses of those PCs on the SECURIT Y SETTING S scre en.

The mask sett ing screen shows the vi deo at t he angle of view that you see on the live s c r een. 2 Drag the mouse over the l ive video im age to sel e ct the ar ea you want to mask. A mas k patter n appea r s over the s elected area. You can set up to eight ma sk pat terns on the screen.

Click ALARM in the configur ati on m enu to display the ALARM SETTINGS screen. If you want t he camera t o record s ur v eill ance video or trans m it a warning signal by detec t ing an alarm conditi on, configur e the following s et tings on this screen.
To c onfi gure the A LA RM I N 2 termi nal to de t e ct an a larm c ondi tion, select “ON” in [A LA RM IN 2] and spe ci fy the input conditi ons for it in the same way as for the A LA RM I N1 ter m inal.
