7-3. Remote Control Unit Installation Position The remote control unit can be operated from either a non-fixed position or a wall-mounted position. To ensure that the air conditioner operates correctl.

7-5. Removing and Installing the Grille Basically, these models can be installed and wired without removing the grille. If access to any internal part is need- ed, follow the steps as given below.
The address can be set in order to prevent interfer- ence between remote controllers when 2 indoor units are installed near each other. To set a different address, it is necessary to change the address on the second remote controller . Once changed, you cannot restore the original address setting of the air conditioner.
8. FUNCTIONS 8-1. Room T emperature Contr ol (1) Cooling Room temperature control is obtained by cycling the compressor ON and OFF under control of the room temperature sensor in the indoor unit. Once the compressor starts, it keeps running for 5 minutes.
8-2. Dry Operation (Dehumidification) Dry operation uses the ability of the cooling cycle to remove moisture from the air, but by running at low level to dehumidify without greatly reducing the room temperature. The air conditioner repeats the cycle of turning ON and OFF automatically as shown in the chart below according to the room temperature.
8-3. Freeze Prevention (Cooling and Dry) This function prevents freezing of the indoor heat exchange coil. When the temperature of the indoor heat exchange coil falls below 2 ° C for 2 minutes, the control circuit stops the outdoor fan and compressor (The compressor stops 3 seconds after the outdoor fan stopped).

9. TR OUBLESHOO TING 9-1. Check bef ore and after troubleshooting 9-1-2. Check inter-unit wiring. Check that inter-unit wiring is correctly connected between indoor unit and outdoor unit. 9-1-3. Check power supply. Check that voltage is in specified range (+/–10% of the rating).

12 USING THE 1-HOUR OFF TIMER 1. 1-Hour OFF Timer This function causes the unit to operate for one hour and then stop, regar dless of whether the unit is on or off when this b utton is press ed. The indicator in the d ispla y indicates that this fun ction is operating.
13 ADJUSTING THE AIRFLO W DIRECTION 1. Horizontal The horizontal airflo w can be adjust ed by mo ving the vertical vanes wi th y our hands to the left or right. Alw a ys use the knobs located at t he top of the center v anes on the left and right sides to adjust the airfl ow directi on.
14 CARE AND CLEANING Casing and Grille (Indoor Unit) Clean the casi ng and g rille of th e indoor unit with a v acuum cleaner brush, or wipe them with a clean, soft cloth . If these parts are stained, use a clean cloth moistened wit h a mild liquid detergent.
