5 All the saf ety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. Read all of the instr uctions given here and retain them for later use. Unplug this projector from A C pow er supply before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
6 Moving the Projector When moving the projector , make sure that the automatic slide shut ter is closed, retract the adjust able f eet, and loc k the lens with the Lens Shif t Loc k to prev ent damage to the lens and cabinet. When the projector is unused for an e xtended period, put it into a suitable case.
7 AC P ow er Cord for the Unit ed Kingdom: This cord is already fit ted with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of whic h is indicated on the pin face of the plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced, an A ST A approved BS 1 362 fuse must be used of the same rating , marked thus ASA .

12 T o ensure safe operation, please observe the follo wing precautions: O Use two (2) AA or LR6 type alkaline bat teries. O Al ways r epl ace bat teries in sets. O Do not use a new bat ter y with a used bat ter y . O A void contact with water or liquid.
13 Projection angle can be adjusted up to 6.5 degrees with the adjustable feet. Rotate the adjustable feet and tilt the projector to the proper height; to raise the f eet, rotate the both feet cloc kwise. 1 Adjustable F eet T o lower or to retract the adjustable f eet, rotate the both feet countercloc kwise.
14 The projection lens can be mo ved up and do wn or lef t and right manually with the Lens Shif t Rings, enabling you to adjust the position of a projected image.

17 This projector uses nominal input v oltages of 1 0 0 – 1 20 V or 20 0 – 240 V A C and it automatically selects a correct input v oltage. It is designed to work with the single-phase po wer sy stems having a grounded neutral conductor . T o reduce the risk of electrical shoc k, do not plug into any other type of pow er system.
18 Connect the projector’ s A C pow er cord into an A C outlet and turn the Main On/Of f switc h on. The PO WER indicator lights red. Press the PO WER ON/ST AND-B Y but ton on the top control or on the remote control. The PO WER indicator turns green and the cooling f ans start to operate.
19 Press the PO WER ON/ST AND-B Y but ton on the top control or on the remote control. “P ow er of f?” appears on the screen. Press the PO WER ON/ST AND-B Y but ton again to turn of f the projector . When the P ower of f confirmation function is set to “ Of f , ” the projector can be turned of f without the confirmation message.

22 Rotate the Zoom Lever to z oom in and out. Rotate the F ocus Ring to focus the image. Zoom Lever F ocus Ring F or some frequently used operations, using the remote control is advisable. Just pressing one of the but tons enables you to hav e the desired operation quic kly , and no need for calling up the On-Screen Menu.

24 Input Source and System Selection Press the INPU T but ton on the top control or the INPU T but tons on the remote control (see below) to c hoose an input source. 25 Syst em Menu (Video/S-V ideo) If the projector cannot reproduce a proper video image, select a specific broadcast signal format from among P AL, SECAM, NTSC, NTSC 4.43, P AL -M, and P AL -N. 32 COL OR MANAGEMENT LIST Clear the c heck mark if you do not w ant to apply this adjusted color data to the projected image. Select [Y es] to delete the selected color data. Select the DEL box if you w ant to delete the adjusted data. A confirmation box appears.

41 T wo dif f erent remote control codes are assigned to this projector: the factory-set code (Code 1) and the secondar y code (Code 2). This switc hing function prev ents interf erence from other remote controls when sev eral projectors or video equipment next to eac h other are used at the same time.
42 Filter count er This function is used to set a frequency f or the filter cleaning. When the projector reac hed a specified time bet ween cleanings, a Filter warning icon appears on the screen, notifying the cleaning is necessar y .
43 Input Source Information Display The Inf ormation Menu is used for c hec king the status of the image signal being projected and the operation of the projector . Video or S-video A color system of the connected video signal is display ed from among P AL, SECAM, NTSC, NTSC4.
44 The WARNING indicator sho ws the state of the function that protects the projector . Chec k the state of the WARNING indicator and the PO WER indicator to t ake proper maintenance. W ARNING blinking red T OP CONTROL Warning Indicator The projector is shut down and the WARNING indicator is blinking red.
45 Cleaning the RGB panels Blemishes suc h as dust and dirt on the internal optical components of the projector tend to degrade the brightness of the screen and are likely to appear as a shado w on the screen, whic h can lead to deterioration of image qualit y .

47 The air filter pre vents dust from accumulating on the surf ace of the optical elements inside the projector . Should the air filt er becomes clogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fan ’ s ef f ectiveness and ma y result in a buildup of internal heat and adversely af f ect the lif e of the projector .
48 Be sure to reset the Filter counter af ter cleaning or replacing the air filter . Resetting the Filter Counter Filter count er T urn the projector on and press the MENU button to displa y the On-Screen Menu. Select the Set ting Menu with the P oint ! but tons.
49 When the projection lamp of this projector reac hes its end of life, the LAMP REPLA CE indicator emits yellow light. If this indicator lights yello w , replace the lamp with a new one promptly . The time when the LAMP REPLA CE indicator should light is depending on the lamp mode.
50 Be sure to reset the lamp replacement counter af ter the lamp is replaced. When the lamp replacement counter is reset, the LAMP REPLA CE indicator stops lighting . T urn the projector on and press the MENU button to displa y the On-Screen Menu. Select the Set ting Menu with the P oint ! but tons.
