5 Saf ety Instr uctions All the saf ety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. Read all of the instr uctions given here and retain them for later use. Unplug this projector from A C pow er supply bef ore cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
6 Saf ety Instr uctions Mo ving the Pr oject or When the projector is not in use for an e xtended period, put it into a suitable case. Handle the projector carefully; do not drop, bump, subject it to strong forces, or put other things on the cabinet. Openings in the cabinet are provided f or ventilation.
7 Do not roll the projector more than 1 0 degrees from side to side. Do not put the projector on either side C or E to project an image. Install the projector properly .
8 Compliance AC P ow er Cord for the Unit ed Kingdom: This cord is already fit ted with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of whic h is indicated on the pin face of the plug. NO TE ON THE PO WER CORD A C pow er cord must meet the requirements of the countr y where you use the projector . Confirm the A C plug type with the c hart below and proper A C pow er cord must be used. If the supplied A C pow er cord does not matc h your A C outlet, cont act your sales dealer .
Connect the projector’ s A C pow er cord into an A C outlet. T he PO WER indicator turns red. Press the ON/S T AND-B Y but ton on the top control or on the remote control. T he PO WER indicator becomes green and the cooling fans start to operate. T he preparation display appears on the screen and the count down starts.

51 Set ting Remote contr ol This projector pro vides t wo dif ferent remote control codes; the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the secondar y code (Code 2). T his switc hing function prevents remote control interf erence when several projectors or video equipment are operated at the same time.
52 52 Set ting PIN code lock This function pre vents the projector from being operated by unauthoriz ed persons and provides the follo wing set ting options for security . 54 Set ting Lamp counter This function pro vides the following options in the cooling fans ’ operation af ter turning of f the projector (p.21). L1 …… Normal operation L2 …… Slow er and low er -sound than the normal operation (L1), but it takes longer to cool down the projector .
55 Set ting F actory def ault This function ret urns all set ting values e xcept for the user logo, PIN code loc k, Logo PIN code loc k, the lamp counter , and the filter counter to the factory default set tings. Select Factory default and this box appears.
56 Ho w t o Use the Antithef t Alar m Function Antithef t alarm function is provided to prev ent the projector from being stolen. When this function is set to “ On, ” the alarm rings as an unauthorized person tries to mov e the projector . T o activate the Alarm function for the first time af ter purc hase, y ou must turn on the po wer once.

58 Charge the built-in battery pack As long as the A C pow er cord is connected, the built-in bat ter y f or Alarm function is being c harged at all times. While c harging the bat ter y , “Charging” is display ed in the menu. The “Charging” appears dimmed when the bat ter y is fully c harged or if c harging malfunction occurs.

63 Maint enance and Cleaning When the projection lamp of the projector reac hes its end of lif e, the Lamp replacement icon appears on the screen and LAMP REPLA CE indicator lights yello w . Replace the lamp with a new one promptly . The timing when the LAMP REPLA CE indicator should light is depending on the lamp mode.
64 Maint enance and Cleaning Be sure to reset the Lamp replacement counter af ter the lamp is replaced. When the Lamp replacement counter is reset, the LAMP REPLA CE indicator stops lighting . T urn the projector on and press the MENU but ton to display the On-Screen Menu.
65 T roubleshooting Bef ore calling your dealer or ser vice center for assistance, c hec k the items below once again. – Make sure y ou hav e properly connected the projector to peripheral equipment as described on pages 1 6-1 8. – Make sure all equipment is connected to the A C outlet and the pow er is t urned on.
