And the room temp erature is detected by the sensor wh ich is built into the indoor u nit and the air conditioner is controlled accordingly .

12 Oper ation with the Remote Control Unit 1. Operation Check th at the circuit break er on the po wer panel is turned on. Press the setting b uttons as described below and change the settings as desired. STEP 1 Press the MODE selector b utton and select th e desired mode.

19 Using the 1-Hour OFF Timer Tips f or Energ y Sa ving 1. 1-Hour OFF Timer This function causes the unit to operate f or one hour and then stop, regard less of whether the unit is on or off when this b utton is pressed. The indicator in the displa y indicates that this funct ion is operating.
20 Adjusting the Airflo w Direction 1. Horizontal The horizontal air flow can be adjust ed by mo ving the v er tical vane s with your hands to the left or right. When the humidity is high, the vertical va nes should be in the front position during the cooling or dehumidifying operation.

22 Care and Cleaning (continued) Anti-Mold Filter The anti-mold filter behind the air intake grille should be ch eck ed and cleaned at least once e ve r y two weeks . How to remove the anti-mold filter 1. Grasp both ends of the air intake grille, and remo ve it b y opening to wards t he front and pulling tow ards you.
23 Care and Cleaning (continued) Air Clean Filt er The air clean filter remov es dust and dirt from the air , and reduces odors an d smoke from tobacco. This air clean filter cannot remove harmfu l gases or vapor s nor ventilate air in the room. Y ou must open doors or windows frequently when you use gas or oil heating appliance s.
24 T roub leshooting If your air conditioner does not work pr oper ly , first check the f ollowing points bef ore requesting service. If it still does no t work properly , contact yo ur dealer or service center .
