Getting Started 2 Section 1: Getting Star ted Introduction Congratulations on the purchas e of your Ve rizon Wireless Network Exte nder . Y our purchase o f this Network Ex tender enhances the wireless telephone service that you and your famil y will receive while in your home or ho me office.
3 System Requ irements • An always-on broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed and available bandwidth of 3 00 kbps. Note: Satellite, MiFi or wireless connections are not supported. • An available Ethernet (LAN) port on either your broa dband modem or a router connected to the modem .
Getting Started 4 5. Connect one end of th e included Ethernet cable to an open LAN port o n the rout er (1) and conn ect the other end t o the WAN port located at the rear of the Net work Exte nder (2). Note: Plug the Ethernet cable into the Network Extender before connecting the po wer supply .

Using Y our Device 10 Components - R ear View The rea r of the Net work Ext ende r provides access to the WAN port, power port, and external GPS antenna. 1. GPS Antenna Port slides to provide ac cess to the external GPS antenna for removal a nd reloca tion.

13 Section 3: Exter nal GPS Antenna If your V erizon Wireless Netw ork Extende r cannot receive a Global P ositioning System (GPS) si gnal, it may be necessary to improve the recept ion by instal ling and then positioning the external GPS antenna. This section outlines the i nstallation and relocation o f this GPS antenna.

15 11. Power on the Network Extend er to allow the det ection of both the external antenna c onnecti on and an available GPS signal. Note: If a GPS signal cannot be detected, remove the GPS antenna and place it in a new location to receive a stronger signal.
