BEFORE YOU ST AR T PURPOSE Provides instructions for using NET -i ware. Provides a description of work for configuring the NET -i ware settings and for using the NET -i ware T ool. AUDIENCE This user guide is designed for engineers who install, configure the settings of and maintain the NET -i ware system.
Before you start WHA T IS NET -i war e? NET -i war e is an open storage solution for security and automatic monitoring environment. This program includes general functions for monitoring sites and storing device images. This program is integrated with network cameras via the network envir onment.

Before you start INST ALLING NET -i war e Installing the NET -i ware Program 1. Insert the provided dongle key into a corr esponding port of your computer . - Do not remove the dongle key while installing the pr ogram. If it's removed, the installation program may not proceed.
BEFORE YOU ST AR T 5. Click [ Next > ] to move to the license agreement step. 6. Read the license agreement car efully and select " I accept the terms of the license agreement. " And click [ Next > ] to proceed with the next step. 7. T o activate NET -i war e, enter the product key (26 characters) and click [ Check ].
Before you start 9. Click [ Install ] to install the program. 10. The Wizard is ready to install the NET -i ware program. 11. The Wizard starts installing the NET -i war e program. 12. When the installation is completed, click [ Finish ] to complete the installation.
BEFORE YOU ST AR T Checking Installation Check if NET -i war e is installed successfully on your system. 1. Move to the Start menu. 2. If NET -i war e is properly installed, you will see 3 sub components in the NET -i war e program menu: NET -i war e T ool, ServiceManager and Uninstall.
Check the use instructions of the NET -i war e T ool that enables you to configure the tree and system r elated options. Y ou can configure the NET -i war e settings with the NET -i ware T ool. Y ou can configure the device settings in the Device Setting page.
SETUP GETTING ST ARTED Double-click the < > icon on your desktop. The main page of the NET -i war e T ool will appear . Login/Logout ❖ Login Y ou must have logged in before using the Setup page. 1. Click [ Login ] in the Setup main page. Y ou will see the Login dialog.
Setup HARDW ARE Registering Hardwar e ❖ Registering Device Y ou can add / change / delete a desired device to and from NET -i ware. Register a desired device in two ways: ① Y ou can register up to 64 devices. - SNS-SF064 : Max. 64 Devices / SNS-SF032 : Max.
SETUP Manual Registration of Devices Press the [ Manual ] button in the bottom left corner of the main window to register a device manually . 1. Click [ Manual ] to open the " Register Device(Manual) " window . 2. Select a vendor name and model name.
Setup ❖ T ree View The tree will cascade a list of servers, r egistered devices and cameras. The connection status of the server , device and camera will be displayed in the form of an icon. Y ou can check the status of the server and device by the color of the icon.
SETUP ❖ T o view the server information Y ou can change the server name or description and check the address and port number . 1. In the tree, click the server icon < >. Y ou can change the server name and description. 2. T o save your work, click [ Apply ].
Setup ❖ T o update the firmwar e Y ou can update the device firmware remotely . 1. Click [ Firmware Update ]. 2. Select a vendor name and model name to update. The selected devices will be listed. 3. Check to select for devices to update. 4. Click [ File Browser ( ) ] and select a firmware file.
SETUP ❖ T o view the camera information Y ou can change the camera information or view the live video. ` Y ou can change the information or view the live video only if the camera is activated. ` Y ou can check the resolution, video forma t, PTZ and audio permissions of the camera.
Setup Activation ❖ T o activate a camera T o use a camera, you must activate the camera after you register ed it. ` Y ou can activate up to 64 cameras.
SETUP Camera Y ou can tur n on/off functions of Video, Audio and Covert. ❖ Video 1. Select the video item of a camera that you want to change the settings of. 2. Select either On or Off. M ` If you set the Video function to Off, you can not play the live video, nor record.
Setup Video Y ou can configure the live 1, 2 and recor ding video properties for each active camera. - Configure the video pr operties for the live 1, 2 and recording video source specified in Camera Pr operties.
SETUP Released If the local disk is released, you can scan/play but not r ecord a source. 1. Select a disk that is currently assigned. The [ Release ] button will be activated. 2. Click [ Release ]. The Release dialog appears. 3. Click [ Ye s ] to change the status of the disk to Released.
Setup Schedule Y ou can use NET -i ware to make scheduled r ecording. NET -i war e will start or stop recording accor ding to your schedule. Y ou can create a schedule and apply it to multiple cameras. Y ou can also create multiple schedules. ` Y ou can create schedules for up to 64 cameras.
SETUP T o check your work When your settings are completed, the changes will be applied. The camera may start or stop recor ding, according to the setting. - Click [ Magnify ] to extend the schedule tree so you can check the duplicate area acr oss the time ranges.
Setup Holiday Y ou can specify a holiday and perform scheduled recording on that holiday . Y ou can also set the execution cycle and period for each holiday . @ Cycle • No Cycle: The holiday is effective only on that day . • Days: Effective at the set interval of days.
SETUP Recording Event For your better understanding of the event situation, you can set the pre and post r ecording times based on the event occurrence point. Pre and post images as many as specified based on the event occurrence time will be saved. • Motion, Alarm, Intelligent Video Analysis Event: Y ou can set both pre and post times.
Setup Recording Camera Y ou can set the fps to save for each activated camera and recor ding type (normal/event). - The normal recor ding type includes manual recording and continuous scheduled recor ding. - Available event r ecording types include Motion/Alarm/Video Loss/ Intelligent Video Analysis.
SETUP TO SET AN EVENT Event Camera Y ou can set the event discard time for , and the Alarm Into sync with each activated camera. The event discard time is to discar d a duplicate event in the specified time range. Y ou can also set an Alarm In to sync with each camera, which occurs from the device.
Setup ❖ T o cr eate an e-mail Click [ Add ] in the bottom list, and provide a name and description and click [ Add ] in the dialog. An e-mail of the default settings will be created. ❖ T o edit an e-mail Change the name, description or subject in the E-mail page.
SETUP EVENT ALERT SOUND This function is to sound the alert upon the occurrence of an event. ❖ T o r egister an alert sound file Y ou can register an alert sound file to use. - Only the wav format is supported. By default, two wav files are pr ovided: - alarm.
Setup BACKUP SETTING Schedule Backup Y ou can backup stored data according to the schedule that you set. ❖ Schedule Backup Management Y ou can create/edit/delete a schedule backup. In the left pane of the screen, you will see the schedule backup list while you can check the information of the selected schedule in the right pane.
SETUP ❖ T o delete a schedule backup Select a schedule backup in the schedule backup list and click [ Delete ]. ❖ T o perform and play the schedule backup Schedule backup will perform according to the schedule that you set.
Setup ❖ T o select a network Select one from network 1 and network 2, which is installed and in service on the PC. For network 1, you can change the bandwidth if you want. ` If the network setting is changed, the NET -i ware ser vice will restart. ❖ Port Setting 1.
SETUP SYSTEM SETTING System User Y ou can register users and user groups and set the necessary permissions. The default user (admin) and user group with the manager permissions are pr ovided. - The users (groups) ar e of parent-child relationship with each other .

Setup ❖ Initialization This will restor e the NET -i ware settings to the default. Select a desired item to r eset. Items that can be reset ar e as below: - All: Resets all settings. - Hardwar e: Resets the hardware settings. - Recording: Resets the r ecord settings.
SETUP ❖ System restart setting Y ou can specify the activation frequency and time to restart the vsystem (PC). ❖ Import/Export NET -i ware Configuration Y ou can extract the NET -i ware settings and apply them to the NET -i ware that is installed on other PC.
Setup System Log Y ou can set to save the log and search for a stored log. ❖ Log Setting Only logs in the set period will be saved, and those that expire will be deleted automatically .
BACKUP TO BACKUP DA T A Y ou can search for and backup desired data manually . 1. Click [ Backup ] in the right cor ner of the main page. 2. Select a backup file format, time, storage device and backup data and click [ Start Backup ] to backup the selected data.
Backup T o calculate the size of backup data Y ou can check the original size of backup data that you selected in the above step. Select data to backup and click [ Calculate ] in the bottom right corner . M ` The actual size of the backup data will be slightly larger than the original as additional information is included.
SERVICE MANAGER When the program is installed on the PC, the Service Manager icon will be displayed in the right tray on desktop. USING SERVICE MANAGER The Manager will reside in the Windows tray that manages the NET -i ware service. Select the icon and right-click it.
INST ALLA TION The updater file will be installed together when you run the installer file of NET -i war e. Run Click Execute Updater in the System Setup page of the NET -i war e T ool, or click Start Updater in the Service Manager to launch the NET -i war e Updater .
NET -i W ARE UPDA TE AUTO UPDA TE SETTING Y ou can set the check update cycle to check any update automatically . 1. Click the [ NET -i ware Updater Manager ] tray icon. 2. In the context menu that pops up, select the [ Setup ] item. 3. Change the settings in the Setup window , and click [ Save ].
NET -i ware Update AUTO UPDA TE SCENARIO Notice of the Latest V ersion If there exists the latest version on the server , you will see a message as shown. Y ou can check the release note, and select to proceed with or cancel the update. Download Click [ Update ] to download the installation files.
NET -i WEB VIEWER WHA T IS THE WEB VIEWER? It is a remote viewer that allows you to r emotely connect to NET -i ware and to perform the r eal-time monitoring, PTZ (if specified) control, and sear ch. M ` NET -i ware web viewer supports most major web browsers.
NET -i W eb Viewer INST ALLING SIL VERLIGHT If your PC has not installed Silverlight or has just installed an older version, you will be redir ected to the Silverlight installation page automatically when accessing the web viewer . 1. Click < Click now to install >.
NET -i WEB VIEWER CHECKING THE CONNECTION ST A TUS OF WEB VIEWER If you fails to connect to the web viewer , check the followings: 1. Ensure that the system port is set to between 4505 and 4534. Y ou can check and change the port number in < Network > - < Remote Connect > - < System Port > of NET -i war e.
NET -i W eb Viewer 5. Only one user can access the web viewer setup page or NET -i ware tool at a time. If a differ ent user has already accessed the setup page, you will be prompted to access the page by for ce. - If selecting < No >, you cannot access the page.
NET -i WEB VIEWER LIVE VIEWER Live Viewer At a Glance Item Description a Split Mode Switch to a split mode or full screen. b Time Display Options Based on OSD time information of Live Viewer , select one from < PC Time > (on which Web Viewer is running) and < NVR Time > (on which NET -i ware is running).
NET -i W eb Viewer Changing the split mode Click the Split Mode button to switch to the selected split mode. T o switch to Single mode Click < >. The video screen will switch to single mode for the selected camera. ` Y ou can double-click the tile of a desired camera to switch to Single mode.
NET -i WEB VIEWER T o switch to full screen Click < >. Switch the current split mode to full scr een. T o exit the full screen, pr ess [ ESC ] on your keyboard. Using the Live menus Y ou can perform Auto Sequence, or move to the previous or next channel.
NET -i W eb Viewer Record 1. Click < >. Y ou will see the window where you can specify the saving path of your recor ding. 2. Specify the path and provide the file name. Then, click < Save(S) >. This will save the video of the selected camera as .
NET -i WEB VIEWER PTZ control If the selected camera supports the PTZ operation, the buttons available will be active and you can press an active button to activate a desired operation. Using the PTZ buttons Item Description a Direction Adjust the camera orientation.

Use the direction buttons to adjust the camera angle to a desired dir ection. 5. Click < >. M ` The camera supports adding and displaying up to 20 presets regardless of the preset number .
NET -i WEB VIEWER 3. Drag the yellow spot and drop it at a desir ed position. Only as much area as the selected box will be zoomed. ` The camera will perform the pan or tilt so that the box will be positioned center . ` The zoom will be performed only to the max zoom factor supported by the camera.
