◀ ▶ E ng li s h Using Timer Viewing Y ou can set the TV to display a desir ed channel automatically on a day and at a time of your choice. Y ou must set the curr ent time first using the Time → Clock function in the System menu to use this function.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Repeat : Select Once , Manual , Sat~Sun , Mon~Fri or Everyday . If you select Manual , you can set the day you want. A check ( c ) mark indicates a day you selected. ● Date : Y ou can set a desir ed date. Date is available only when you select Once in Repeat .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ Channel List CONTENT → W atch TV → Channel List → ENTER E The Channel List contains the channels your TV displays (added channels) when you pr ess the Channel button on your r emote contr ol. On the Channel List , you can view Added Channels, channel information, Favorites, and manage channels.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h The TV displays Favorites only if you have added favorites using Add to Favorites . If you want to view the list of favorite channels quickly, pr ess the CH LIST button, and then pr ess the ► ( CH Mode ) button to display Favorites 1 - 5 .

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Channel Name Edit (analog channels only) : Assign a name of up to five characters to a channel. For example, Hist, Food, Golf, etc. This makes it easier to find and select the channel. ● Add / Delete : Add a channel or delete a channel fr om the channel list.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h Adding a Channel to the Channel List: 1. Select a deleted channel on the All Channels list, and then pr ess the ENTER E button. Deleted channels ar e grayed out. 2. Pr ess the TOOLS button on your r emote contr ol. The Options menu appears.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Add only appears if you have selected a deleted channel on the All Channels list. ● Delete only appears if you have selected an added channel on the Added Ch. or All Channels list. ● Deselect All : Deselect all the selected channels.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Memorizing channels MENU m → Channel → ENTER E Y our TV memorizes channels and adds the memorized channels to the Channel List with the Auto Pr ogram function. Befor e your TV can memorize channels, you must specify the signal sour ce, either Air or Cable .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ Antenna (Air / Cable) t T o begin the memorizing pr ocedur e, follow these steps: 1. Push MENU m → Channel → ENTER E on your r emote contr ol. 2. Select Antenna , and then pr ess ENTER E . 3. Select the sour ce of your TV signal, Air or Cable .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ Auto Pr ogram Scans for channels automatically and stor es them in the TV’ s memory. T o start Auto Pr ogram , follow these steps: 1. Push MENU m → Channel → ENTER E on your r emote contr ol. 2. Select Auto Pr ogram , and then pr ess ENTER E .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h 6. Select STD , HRC , or IRC , and then pr ess ENTER E . 7. Repeat for Analog Cable System . 8. Select Sear ch or Next , and then pr ess ENTER E . Auto Pr ogram starts. After all the available channels ar e stor ed, Auto Pr ogram removes scrambled channels.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Other Featur es MENU m → Channel → ENTER E ■ Clear Scrambled Channel This function filters out scrambled channels after Auto Pr ogram is completed. This pr ocess may take up to 20~30 minutes. How to Stop the Clear Scrambled Channels Function 1.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ Fine T une (analog channels only) If the r eception is clear , you do not have to fine tune the channel, as this is done automatically during the sear ch and stor e operation. If the signal is weak or distorted, fine tune the channel manually.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ SPDIF Output The SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital InterFace) outputs an uncompr essed digital audio signal when you connect the digital audio jack on the back of the TV to a digital audio in jack on a r eceiver or home theater . ● Audio Format : Y ou can select the Digital Audio output (SPDIF) format.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Auto V olume (Of f / Normal / Night) Normal equalize s the volume level on each channel, so th at when you change channels, the volume level is the same. Night equalizes and decr ease the volume level on each channel, so each channel is quieter .

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Connecting to a Wir ed Network Ther e ar e thr ee ways to attach your TV to your LAN using cable: ● Y ou can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to an exter nal modem using a LAN cable.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Y ou can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to a IP Shar er (r outer) which is connected to an exter nal modem.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Depending on how your network is configur ed, you may be able to attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV dir ectly to a network wall outlet using a LAN cable. Pr ess the ▼ button on your r emote contr ol to go to the IP Address entry field, and then pr ess ENTER E . 6. Enter the first portion of the IP Addr ess (for example, 105) into the first entry field using the number keys on your r emote contr ol.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h Samsung’ s W ir eless LAN adapter is sold separately and is offer ed by selected r etailers, Ecommer ce sites, and Samsungparts.com. Samsung’ s W ireless LAN adapter supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g and n communication pr otocols.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h 5. If the Enter security key scr een appears, go to step 6. If you selected an AP or wir eless r outer that does not have security, go to step 8.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h 7. When done, use the r button to move the cursor to NEXT , and then pr ess the ENTER E button. 8. The network connection scr een appears and the verification pr ocess starts. Pr ess ENTER E to cancel. Select IP Setting on network connection scr een.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ One Foot Connection Network Setup The One Foot Connection function lets you easily connect your Samsung TV automatically to a Samsung W ir eless router . If your non-Samsung router does not support One Foot Connection , you must connect using one of the other methods.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h 3. Select One Foot Connection , and pr ess ENTER E , then pr ess ENTER E again. 4. Place the r outer in parallel with the Samsung W ireless LAN Adapter and no mor e than 10 inches (25cm) fr om the Adapter . 5. W ait until the connection is automatically established.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ■ Ad-Hoc Network Setup Y ou can connect to a mobile device that supports Ad-hoc connections - without going thr ough a wir eless r outer - using the “Samsung W ireless LAN Adapter”. After you connect the TV to a mobile device, you can use the files on device.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h 4. Select OK , and pr ess ENTER E . The TV sear ches for the mobile device. 5. When the TV finishes sear ching for mobile devices, input the generated Network Name (SSID) and Security key into the device you want to connect. If network does not operate normally, check the Network Name (SSID) and Security key again.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Setting the Time MENU m → System → Time → ENTER E ■ Time The curr ent time will appear every time you pr ess the INFO button. ● Clock : Set the clock to use the various timer featur es of the TV . If you disconnect the power cor d, you have to set the clock again.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ● Manual : Set the curr ent time manually. Depending on the br oadcast station and signal, the auto time set up may not be corr ect. In this case, set the time manually. Clock Set : Set the Month , Day , Y ear , Hour , Minute and am/pm .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h DST (Of f / On) : Switches the DST (Daylight Saving T ime) function on or off. This function is only available when the Clock Mode is set to Auto . Time Zone : Select your time zone. This function is only available when the Clock Mode is set to Auto .
◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Setting the On/Of f Timer MENU m → System → Time → ENTER E Set On Timer so that your TV tur ns on automatically at a time and on a day of your choosing. ● On Timer : Y ou can set up thr ee sep ara te On Time r c onf igur ati ons.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h On Time : Set the hour , minute, am/pm. Use the number buttons or the up and down arr ow keys to enter numbers. Use the left and right arr ow buttons to change entry fields. V olume : Set the desir ed volume level. Use the left and right arr ow buttons to change the volume level.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h If ther e is only one photo file in the USB, the Slide Show will not play. A folder with a name that is too long cannot be selected.

◀ ▶ E ng li s h ❑ Blocking Pr ograms MENU m → System → Security → ENTER E ■ Security When you access the Security functions for the first time, the PIN input scr een appears. Enter a 4 digit PIN you will r emember . The PIN scr een closes and the Securty Menu appears.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h TV Rating : Lets you you block TV pr ograms based on their ratings. This function allows you to contr ol which TV pr ograms your childr en can watch.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h Similarly, if you click TV -G under ALL , then all the categories in the young adult gr oup will be blocked ( TV -G , TV -PG , TV -14 and TV -MA ). The sub- ratings ( D, L, S, V ) work similarly. So, if you block the L sub-rating in TV - PG , then the L sub-ratings in TV -14 and TV -MA will automatically be blocked.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h Movie Rating (MP AA) : Y ou can block movies based on their MP AA rating. The Motion Pictur e Association of America (MP AA) has implemented a rating system that pr ovides par ents or guar dians with advanced information on which films ar e appr opriate for childr en.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h T o block certain content, you select a lock, and pr ess ENTER E (That is, you “click it”.). For example, click the X lock and you block all X-rated movies. The rating categories ar e also gr ouped so that clicking one category blocks all the categories a par ent would block along with it.
◀ ▶ E ng li s h Canadian English Rating : Y ou can block TV pr ograms based on their Canadian English rating. Canadian English Rating displays a column with locks and the following ratings categories: – C : Pr ogramming intended for childr en under age 8.
