11 Set time for the backlight and Sleep mode Set the device to turn off the backlight and switch to Sleep mode when not in use or during a call. By doing this, you can save battery power and reduce battery consumption. 1 Ta p Start > Settings . 2 From the Basic Settings tab, tap Genera l Setting s > Power > Battery Power .
12 Communication Phonebook Use a photo as a contact' caller ID image 1 Ta p Start > My Files . 2 Navigate to the appr opriate folder . 3 T ap an image name to open an image. 4 Ta p Menu > Set As > Caller ID . 5 Align a face in the image with a white box.

View Phonebook information Phonebook stores information about your contact entries, including how many contacts ar e stored in the device’s memory or on the SI M or USIM card and how many SDN or FDN contacts you have created .
15 Calling Use the speakerphone Your device features a speaker phone op tion for use dur ing calls. To use the speakerphone, 1 Make a call. 2 Any time during the call, tap Speaker On . To turn off the speakerphone feature, tap Speaker Off . Set A uto Answer Use the Auto Answer feature to automatically answer calls during hands-free operation.
16 3 Select a length of time to delay befor e the device automatically answers calls. 4 Ta p Done . When using a heads et or hands-free car kit, the de vice will automatically answe r incoming call s after th e length of t ime you specified for the delay.
17 Ho ld a call/retrieve a held ca ll While on a call, you can place a caller on hol d. To place a caller on hold, t ap Hol d . While a caller is on hold, yo u may ans wer another call or use other featu res and applications. To retrieve a held call, tap Unhold .
18 3 T ap a forwar ding option and enter a phone number . 4 Ta p Done . Make a m ultiparty call (conference call) 1 Call the first party you w ant to add to the multiparty call. 2 While connected to the first party , call the second party . • The first party is automatically placed on hold.

24 Multimedia Camera Create a PhotoM emo Use your device to combi ne a photo wi th text or drawings t o create a PhotoMemo. Send a Ph otoMemo t o a business colleague to illustrate a new idea or send one to a friend as a virtual postcard of your trav els.

27 Media Player Change playback speed While listening to mus ic with Media Player, you can speed up or s low do wn th e play back. To change the playback speed, tap Menu > Play Speed and select an option: • Play Faster (+0.1) : increase the playback speed • Play Slower (-0.

34 Add audio to a storyboard Before you can add audio to a storyboard, you must either record an audio file or transfer a file to your device (see the user manual for m ore information). To add audio t o a storybo ard, 1 Ta p Start > Vi deo Editor .

48 TV out viewer Connect your device to a television You can connect your device to a television for enhanced viewi ng of photos and vi deos. To connect your device to a television, 1 Ta p Start > Settings . 2 From the Basic Settings tab, tap General Settings > TV Out .
49 Personal productivity Browse files with My Files With My Files, you can brow se a ll the files and fo lders o n your device. Tap Start > My Files . Navigate through files and fold ers by tapp ing folders to open them and tapping to retur n to a higher level.
50 Clock Change World Clock options Control the functi on of your time zone updates and clock display in the title bar by changing the options. To chan ge World C lock option s, 1 Ta p Start > Clock .
51 Schedule Change Schedule options Control the arrangement of informati on in Schedule by changing the options. To change Schedule options, 1 Ta p Start > Schedule .

53 Recorder Change Recorder options Set options to def ine a stor age location and specify an encoding format for your reco rdings. To change Recorder option s, 1 Ta p Start > Recor der . 2 Ta p Menu > Option s . 3 T ap one o f the following op ti ons and select your setting: • Storage : select a s torage location for your recordings.
54 Ta s k s Beam a ta sk to anothe r device (via Bluetooth) 1 Ta p Start > T asks . 2 T ap the check box next to a task. 3 Ta p Menu > Beam T ask… 4 T ap the name of a Bluetooth-enabled device. The device will attempt to beam the task to the device you s elected.

56 Smart Reader Change Smart Reader settings Control how Smart Reader auto matically captures business cards, saves images, provides pr eviews of translations by changing the settings. To change Smart Reader settings, 1 Ta p Start > Smart Reader . 2 Rotate the device anti-clock wise to the landscape orientation.

78 Video Cal l • Vi deo Call Opt ions : select display layout, an im age to display when using the Hide me option, and video quality for video calls. • Call Barring : view and receive setti ngs from your service provider that allow you to bar (block) incoming calls.

85 Mem ory Settings • Clear Memory : delete all data and re set all setting s to the manufacturer’s defaults. • Pr ogram RAM : view available RAM and RAM usage for currently running programs. • Main Storage : view available Main Storage memory and programs currently stored in the Main Storage memory.
