15 NOTE U sing the Setup Menu The Setup Menu lets you customize your DVD player by allowing you to select various lan- guage preferences, set up a parental control, even adjust the player to the type of television screen you have. 1 Press the SETUP button on the remote.
16 NOTE S etting Up the Language Featur e s 1 Press the SETUP button. 2 Press the UP/DOWN button to move to AUDIO. 3 Press the ENTER button. 4 Use the UP/DOWN button to select ‘ENGLISH’ . - Select “ORIGINAL” if you want the default soundtrack language to be the original language the disc is recorded in.

19 S e a r ch & Skip NOTE The skip function allows you to "skip" from one chapter another in the forward or reverse direction. Press the NEXT SKIP or BACK SKIP button during playback. • When playing a DVD, if you press the NEXT SKIP button, it moves to the next chapter .
20 NOTE A -B Repeat & 3D Sound The A-B Repeat function lets you mark a segment to repeat between the beginning (A) and the end (B) of the segment you want to review . 1 Press the A-B REPEA T but- ton at the beginning (A) of the segment you want to review .
21 NOTE B ookmark The Bookmark function lets you select parts of a DVD or VCD so that you can quickly find the section at a later time. During playback, press the BOOKMARK button on the remote. A ‘BOOKMARK’ will be displayed. 1 Use the LEFT/RIGHT button to move to the desired book - mark.
22 M ediaMacro TM Zoom & Pan For DVDs, VCDs This function allows complete control over what part of the picture you want to see. Y ou can select any portion of the screen and magnify that portion up to 20 times.
23 A ctionCaptur e TM S t robe & SnapShot TM Mode This unique strobe function takes snapshots of a continuous motion, then displays these snapshots in order . This is a useful method of analyzing golf swings, a pianist's finger movements or even a pitcher's technique.
24 A ngleV iew TM Display & Scr een Fit The DVD-N2000 displays each angle in a portion of the screen, allowing you to select any angle at the touch of the ergonomic remote. Check to see if an ‘ANGLE ( )’ mark is present at the upper right hand corner of the screen.
25 S electing the Audio Language NOTE 1 Press the AUDIO button. 2 Use the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the desired language on a DVD. - The audio and subtitle languages are represented by abbreviations. 3 Use the UP/DOWN button to select Stereo, Right Channel or Left Channel.
26 NOTE S electing the Subtitle Language Y ou can select a desired subtitle quickly and easily with the SUBTITLE button. 1 Press the SUBTITLE button. 2 Use the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the desired subtitle language. 3 Use the UP/DOWN button to determine whether or not the subtitle will be displayed.

28 U sing the Display Menu 1 During playback, press DISPLA Y , the display menu appears. 2 Select the desired item by using the UP/DOWN or LEFT/RIGHT button. Then press ENTER. 3 In the A box, you can change desired data. 4 T o make the screen disappear , press DISPLA Y again.
29 S etting Up the Disc Language If you set the disc menu, audio and subtitle language in advance, they will come up automatically every time you watch a movie. This function changes the lan- guage only for the text on the disc menu screens. 1 Press the SETUP button.
30 S etting Up the Par ental Contr o l The Parental Control function works in conjunction with DVDs that have been assigned a rat- ing - which helps you control the types of DVDs that your family watches. There are up to 8 rating levels on a disc. 1 Press the SETUP button.

Then press the ENTER but- ton. 3 Use the UP/DOWN button to select the desired item. 4 Use the LEFT/RIGHT button to select the desired item. Then press the ENTER button. 33 R emote Contro l Setting The remote can also be set up to control most TVs. T o program the remote, use the code that corresponds to your brand. 1 T urn on the TV . 2 Point the DVD’s remote at the TV . 3 While holding the TV POWER button down, enter the code for your brand.
34 T r oubleshooting Guide Before requesting service (troubleshooting) No operations can be performed with remote. The screen ratio can’t be changed. No audio. Playback mode differs from the Setup Menu selection. Disc Menu doesn’t appear . The icon appears on screen.
