8 KNOW YOUR BLOWER / V ACUUM See Figures 1a - 1b . Before attempting to use this product, familiarize yourself with all ope rating features and safety rules. MOTOR The blower has a powerful 25.4cc engine with sufficient power to handle tough blowing and vacuuming jobs.

Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the tool carefully to make sur e no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
10 Fig. 5 V ACUUM INLET DOOR DOOR T AB INST ALLING THE V ACUUM BAG See Figures 4 - 5. n Remove the nozzle and upper blower tube from the blower . n Unzip the vacuum bag and place the adaptor inside as shown. n Align the raised slots on the bag adaptor with the raised locking tabs on the blower housing outlet; push the bag adaptor onto the housing.

12 OPERA TION ST ARTING AND STOPPING See Figures 8 - 9. T o start an engine that is cold or has run dry: n Fill the fuel tank, if necessary. Always use the proper oil/gasoline mixture. See “Mixing the Fuel” on page 11. n Disengage the cruise control lever.
13 n Operate blower at the lowest possible throttle speed to do the job. n Check your equipment before operation, especially the muffler , air intakes, and air filters. n Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. n In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces when water is available.
14 Fig. 13 V ACUUM OPERA TION See Figure 13. WARNING: Never run the unit without the blower tubes installed or the vacuum door securely closed. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury . n Install the vacuum tubes, vacuum handle, and bag.
15 MAINTENANCE REPLACING AND CLEANING AIR FIL TER See Figure 14. A wet or dirty air filter can affect the way the engine starts, performs, and wears. The air filter should be checked and cleaned after 8 hours of operation. For best performance, the air filter should be replaced once each year .
