10 RSX-1067 Surround Sound Receiver CONNECTIONS Although the RSX-1067’ s rear panel looks daunting, connecting the unit to your system is straightfor ward.
11 English Speaker Outputs The RSX-1067 has seven built-in amplifiers, two for the front (right and left), one for the center channel, and two for the rear surround speakers (right and left) and two for center back speakers (1 & 2).
12 RSX-1067 Surround Sound Receiver VIDEO 1–3 Component V ideo Inputs Component Video connections split the video into three signals – luminance (Y) and sepa- rate chrominance (P B and P R ) signals, allow- ing deliver y of a reference-quality picture with high definition signals.
13 English 12V TRIGGER Connections Many Rotel amplifiers offer the option of turning them on and off using a 12 volt trigger . These three connections provide this 12 volt trigger signal from the RSX-1067. When the RSX-1067 is activated, a 12 volt DC signal is sent to the amplifiers to turn them on.
14 RSX-1067 Surround Sound Receiver Cable, Satellite, or HDTV T uner TV tuner connections can be made to the VIDEO 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 inputs. In elaborate systems, you may wish to use VIDEO 4 or VIDEO 5 for TV tuners, since these inputs do not have corresponding OUTPUT connections.

16 RSX-1067 Surround Sound Receiver OPERA TING THE RSX-1067 Considering its large number of features, set- tings, and options, the RSX-1067 is remark- ably easy to operate. The key to operating the RSX-1067 is its system of On-Screen Displays (OSD) which guide you through various choices.
17 English ST ANDBY Button POWER Button The front panel ST ANDBY button and the re- mote control POWER button activate or de- activate the unit. The rear panel master POWER switch must be in the ON position for the re- mote standby function to operate.

This equalization may be desirable for playback of movie source material to compensate for the acoustic differences between a commer- cial cinema and a home theater environment by reducing the high-frequency content.
