Rudder gain is a measure of how much helm the S1000 applies to correct course errors – higher settings mean more rudder is applied.

Quick Tip Y ou will find it easier to recognize the steering response in calm sea conditions Counter rudder is the amount of rudder your S1000 applies to try to prevent the boat from veering off course . Higher counter rudder settings result in more rudder being applied.

User Gui de 27 S1000 Alarm messages When the S1000 d etects a fault or failure on the system, it will activate one of the alarm messages listed in the followin g table . Unless otherwise stated, you should respond to the alarm by pressing standby to cl ear the a larm and retu rn to manu al contr ol, befor e you a ttempt to res olve the pr oblem.

T his occurs when the autopilot is in control of your boat and: • the S1000 loses contact with all of its contr ollers (including wired contro llers), OR • the S10 00 loses GPS s ignal.
