Each frame that enters or leaves the port causes this LED to illuminate for 50 milliseconds. This makes it possible to obser ve the t ransmission of a single frame.
2 – General De script ion Seri al Po rt 2-8 59042-00 A 2.4 Serial Port The SANbox2-8c switch is equipped with an RS-232 serial port for maintena nce purposes as shown in Figure 2- 5 . Y ou can manage the swit ch through the ser ial port using the CLI.

Each swi tch in the fabric is identifi ed by a unique domain ID, and the fabric will automatica lly resolve domain ID confli cts.

A port can transmit or recei ve at 1 Gbps or 2 Gbps depending on the device to which it is connected .

T o instal l, insert the transc eiver into the port and gentl y press until it snaps in place as shown in Figure 4- 2 .
