3 1. Before beginning any exercise program, consult your physician. This is especially important for persons over age 35 or persons with pre-existing health problems. 2. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all users of this treadmill are adequately informed of all warnings and precautions.
4 20. The heart rate monitor is not a medical device. V arious factors, including the user’s movement, may affect the accuracy of heart rate readings. The heart rate monitor is intended only as an exercise aid in determin- ing heart rate trends in general.

7 #8 x 3/4" Screw (2)–8 3/8" Star W asher (13)–4 3/8" Nut (12)–2 5/16" Star W asher (1 1)–4 #10 x 3/4" Screw (9)–2 #10 Star W asher (12)–4 3/8" x 2 3/4" .
8 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Place a piece of cardboard below the rear of the Frame (56) to protect the oor or carpet. Attach the Left Wheel Cap (96) to the Base (94) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (2). Attach the Right Wheel Cap (not shown) to the right side of the Base (94) in the same way.
9 4. Hold the Left Upright (89) against the Base (94). Be careful not to pinch the Upright Wire (81). Insert two 3/8" x 1 1/4" Screws (8) with two 3/8" Star Washers (13) and two 3/8" x 2 3/4" Screws (7) into the Left Upright.
10 6. Cut the plastic ties in the Left Handrail (88) and the Right Handrail (87). If necessary, press the 5/16" Cage Nuts (31) back into place. Identify the Left Handrail (88) and hold it near the Left Upright (89). Insert the Upright Wire (81) through the bracket on the bottom of the Left Handrail.
11 8. Set the console assembly face down on a soft surface to avoid scratching the console assembly . Remove all of the screws (B) attaching the Crossbar (93).
12 12. Tighten the four 3/8" x 2 3/4" Screws (7) rst and then the four 3/8" x 1 1/4" Screws (8) (only one side is shown). 12 8 94 11. Set the console assembly on the Right Handrail (87) and the Left Handrail (88). Be careful not to pinch any wires.
13 14. Hold the Left Upright Cover (79) against the console assembly. Align the holes in the Left Upright Cover with the holes in the Left Upright (89). Attach the Left Upright Cover with three #8 x 1/2" Screws (1). Attach the Right Upright Cover (80) to the Right Upright (90) in the same way.
14 17. IMPORTANT: Before you begin this step, make sure that you have read and followed all of the instructions in step 16. Raise the Frame (56) to the position shown.
15 19. Press the Grommet (77) into the square hole in the Base (94). 20. Remove the #8 x 1/2" Machine Screw (1 14) and the Wire Cover (1 17) from the TV Bracket (1 18). With the helpf of a second person, hold the TV (1 19) near the TV Bracket (1 18) and insert the wires from the TV down through the indicated Cable T ie (99).
16 22. Place the treadmill near the coaxial cable from your wall (or device). Connect the coaxial cable to the Upright Coaxial Cable (122). Press the Right Base Cover (83) and the Left Base Cover (not shown) onto the Base (94) until they snap into place.
17 HOW TO PUT ON THE HEART RA TE MONITOR The heart rate monitor consists of a chest strap and a sensor . Insert the tab on one end of the chest strap into the hole in one end of the sensor as shown. Then, press the end of the sen- sor under the buckle on the chest strap.
18 HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER CORD Use a Surge Suppressor Y our treadmill, like other electronic equipment, can be damaged by sudden voltage changes in your home’s power . V oltage surges, spikes, and noise interfer- ence can result from weather conditions or from other appliances being turned on or off.
19 HOW TO CONNECT AN ANTENNA Place an indoor VHF antenna or an outdoor combination VHF/UHF antenna in the desired location. Outdoor antennas are subject to weather- ing that can reduce signal quality . Inspect your out- door antenna and the lead-in wiring before connecting the antenna.
20 HOW TO CONNECT A VCR, DVD PLAYER, OR OTHER DEVICE USING AN AV CABLE 1. Connect the three-pronged end of an RCA A V Cable to your VCR, DVD player , or other device. 2. Plug in the power cord of your device. See your VCR, DVD player , or other device’s user’s manual for proper grounding instructions.

The console features revolutionary iFit Live technology that enables the treadmill to com- municate with your wireless network.
22 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to cold temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before you turn on the power. If you do not do this, you may damage the console display or other electrical components.
23 HOW TO SET UP THE CONSOLE Before using the treadmill for the rst time, set up the console. 1. Connect to your wireless network. Note: In order to access the Internet, download iFit Live workouts, and use several other features of the console, you must be connected to a wire- less network.
24 HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 22. Note: It may take a minute for the console to be ready for use. 2. Select the main menu. When you turn on the power, the main menu will appear after the console boots up.
25 If desired, adjust the volume by pressing the Vo l increase and decrease buttons on the console. To pause the workout, touch one of the menu but- tons or press the Stop button on the console. To continue the workout, touch the Resume button or the Start button.
26 HOW TO USE AN ONBOARD WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW T O TURN ON THE POWER on page 22. 2. Select an onboard workout. T o select an onboard workout, press the Calorie button, the Intensity button, the Speed button, or the Incline button on the console.
27 HOW TO USE A SET-A-GOAL WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 22 . 2. Select the main menu. See step 2 on page 24. 3. Select a set-a-goal workout. To select a set-a-goal workout, touch the Set A Goal button on the screen or press the Set a Goal button on the console.
28 HOW TO USE AN IFIT LIVE WORKOUT Note: To use an iFit Live workout, you must have access to a wireless network (see HOW TO USE THE WIRELESS NETWORK MODE on page 31). An iFit Live account is also required. 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page 22 .
29 HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT SETTINGS MODE The console features an equipment settings mode that allows you to select a language, the unit of mea- surement, and a timezone; to turn on and turn off the display demo mode; and to enable or disable the key and/or a passcode.
30 HOW TO USE THE MAINTENANCE MODE The console features a maintenance mode that allows you to update the console rmware, calibrate the incline of the treadmill, view machine information, and view a button’s keycode. 1. Select the settings main menu.
31 HOW TO USE THE WIRELESS NETWORK MODE The console features a wireless network mode that allows you to set up a wireless network connection. 1. Select the settings main menu. See step 1 on page 29. 2. Select the wireless network mode. In the settings main menu, touch the Wireless Network button to enter the wireless network mode.
32 HOW TO USE THE STEREO SOUND SYSTEM To play music or audio books through the console’s speakers, you must connect your MP3 player, CD player, or other personal audio player to the console. Plug one end of your audio wire into the audio jack on the side of the console.
33 HOW TO OPERATE THE 15" DIGITAL TV The 15" digital TV can be controlled with the control buttons found on your exercise equipment’s console or with the remote control (see page 34). 1. Turn the 15" digital TV on. To turn on the 15" digital TV, press the TV power button, which is the top button on the console TV control.
34 HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROL The first time you use the remote control, insert batteries (see HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL at the right). Next, stand on the treadmill and hold the remote control near the television. Point the remote control directly at the television.
35 HOW TO ADJUST THE TELEVISION SETTINGS The 15" digital TV has a menu that allows you to adjust and personalize television settings. Press the Menu button on the remote control or the on-screen control (see HOW T O USE THE ENTERT AINMENT MODE on page 33) to enter the main menu or to return to a previous menu.
36 5. Adjust the parental control settings. The Parental menu allows you to block or allow various settings on the 15" digital TV . First, enter the Lock Parental Code password, which is a 4-digit PIN. Note: The default password is 0000. Once the password has been entered, the Parental menu will be unlocked.
37 HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL To avoid damaging the treadmill, a djust the incline to zero percent before you fold the treadmill. Then, remove the key and unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 lbs. (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill.
38 Most treadmill problems can be solved by follow - ing the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assis- tance is needed, see the front cover of this manual.
39 Locate the Reed Switch (52) and the Magnet (50) on the left side of the Pulley (49). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch.
40 SYMPTOM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on a. If the walking belt is off-center, rst remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
41 SYMPTOM: The volume cannot be turned up a. If there is no sound coming from the television, make sure that the television audio is not muted. b. If there is no sound coming from the television, make sure that the audio wire is not plugged into the audio jack on the console.
