7 — ENG D22885 2. Connect wand to gun. Tighten securely . 3. Attach high pressur e hose to gun. NOTE: The point of attachment for the high pressur e hose will differ depending on the model pur chased. Tighten securely . ASSEMBL Y 1. Connect handle to frame.
8 — ENG D22885 REMOVE SHIPPING PLUG (PCH2627, PCH3030) THE PUMP IS SHIPPED FROM THE F ACTO- R Y WITH OIL IN IT AND A RED SHIPPING PLUG TO PREVENT ANY OIL FROM LEAKING OUT OF THE PUMP DURING SHIPMENT .
9 — ENG D22885 OPERA TION BASIC ELEMENTS OF A PRESSURE W ASHER High Pressur e Pump : Increases the pr essure of the water supply . Engine: Drives the high pressur e pump. High Pressur e Hose: Carries the pressurized water from the pump to the gun and wand.
Pressur e Adjustment The pressur e setting is preset at the factory to achieve optimum pressur e and cleaning. If you need to lower the pressur e, it can be accomplished by these methods. 1. Back away from the surface to be cleaned. The further away you are, the less the pr essure will be on the surface to be cleaned.
11 — ENG D22885 For Quick-Connect T urret W ands (PCH2425, PCH2627, PCH3030, PCH3540HR): Spray Nozzles The turret holds five spray nozzles. Each nozzle is color coded and delivers a specific spray pattern for a particular cleaning purpose. The 0º, 15º , 25º , and 40º nozzles are high pr essure nozzles.
12 — ENG D22885 ST AR TING 1. Add fresh high quality unleaded gasoline. Never fill fuel tank indoors. Never fill fuel tank when engine is running or hot. Do not smoke when filling fuel tank. Never fill fuel tank com- pletely . Fill tank to 1/2" below bottom of filler neck to provide space for fuel expansion.
13 — ENG D22885 SHUTTING DOWN 1. If you have siphoned chemicals, siphon a bucket of clean water through the chemical hose. NOTE: Failure to do so will cause damage to the pump. 2. T urn engine off. See Engine Owner’ s Manual. NOTE: NEVER turn the water off with the engine running.

15 — ENG D22885 HOW TO CHANGE PUMP OIL 1. Loosen oil fill cap. 2. Place a container under the oil drain plug. 3. Remove oil drain plug. 4. After oil is drained replace oil drain plug. Tighten securely . 5. Remove oil fill cap and fill with recommended oil.
16 — ENG D22885 5. Add RV antifr eeze to hose as shown. 6. Pull engine starter rope slowly several times until antifreeze comes out of high pr essure hose con- nection of pump. 7. Remove short hose from water inlet of pump. 8. Install spark plug into spark plug hole and tighten securely , then reconnect spark plug wir e.
