6 Quick Start F ront Panel Indicator Light Remote C ontrol Sensor Remote Control Sensor: Receives infrared signals from the remote contro l. Aim the remote control within 30 degrees left and right. Indicator Light: This LED light indicates the main power status.

9 Set-up Instructi o ns Getting Started Power Input Jack: Auto switch power supply accepts input of 100 VAC~240 VAC. Use only UL approved power cord with proper grounding. Main Power Switch: Press the Power Switch on the back of your plasma TV. The Indicator Light on the front will turn to Amber color indicating the plasma TV is in Standby mode.
10 Video/A udio Connecti on Composite (AV) Input: Single RCA connector to connect with the composite video output of a DVD Player, VCR or any other device with a c omposite video connection. S-Video Input: Single S-video connector to connect with the S-video output of a DVD Player, VCR or any other device with a S-video connection.
11 + + + External Speakers External Speaker Line Out: External speaker output. Please refer to the drawing for the connection details. It is strongly recommend to use only Planar Accessories for performance and safety purposes.

15 Using the Remote Control Inserting Batteries Remov e the batter y cover from the back of the remote con trol. Insert t wo AAA batteries by matching + and – sign on both batteries to the diagram inside the re mote control batt ery compar tment. Replace the battery back cover .
16 PIP Size Button: Press the PIP Size button to select through 3 different PIP window sizes. PIP Input Butt on: Press the PIP Input button to activate the PIP window. Pressing the PIP Input button will cycle the PIP window thro ugh all available input sources.
17 Number Buttons: Use Number buttons to choose specific channel. F or examp le, to select channel 27, first press 2 and th en press 7. F or channel 101, first press +100 and then press 0 and 1. Sleep Button: Press the sleep button repeatedly to set the sleep timer to 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes.

19 OSD Menu Operation How t o Operate? Press Menu button to enter OSD Menu. Re fer to the picture above; there are six icons on the top and seven options to choose from. For the top icons, icon highlighted in yellow is the one being select ed. To change to different icon simply press Menu button repeatedly unti l correct icon is being selected.
20 Display Settings PC Video The Reset function works the same un der both PC mode and Video mode. Use Reset function to recall factory setting. When under PC mode, user may adjust Br ightness, Contrast, H/V Position, Phase, Clock, and Reset. When under Video mode, user may adjust Brightness, Contrast , Saturation, Hue, Sharpness and Reset.
21 Language and Color T emp. PC / Video Image color and language functions and sele ctions are identical for both PC mode and Video mode. For OSD language item, user may select from 10 different languages including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Netherlands, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
22 OSD Window Settings PC/Video This menu is for adjusting the OSD menu window. User may change OSD Position, OSD Timeout, OSD Background, an d System Reset for back to default.
23 Ad vanced Settings PC Video This menu will also allow user to enter advance mode and change DPMS setting. When under Video mode, user can set up V- Chip and Closed Caption. PC Video When unde r PC mode, S ignal Form at will display Reso lution, Horizontal/Vertical Frequency, PIP Video Source, and PIP Video Format.

25 Parental Control V -Chip Setup V-Chip technology allows parents to block un suitable programming for under age viewers. First user must set up a password. Press Menu button on th e remote contr ol to select Video I nformation page and then select V-Chip.
