53 Configu ring the Server Configuring T rueport Baud The T rueport Baud con figuration window allows you to m ap the baud rate coming out of the serial host to another baud rate that will run betw een the Device Server and the serial device. See Appendix B, Utiliti es on page 115 for more information about T rueport.

Y ou can always make changes to Line parameters, cl ick the Apply button, and then select To o l s , Kill Line to test your changes.
55 Configuring Lines Monitor DCD Specifies whether the RS-232 signal DC D (Data Carrier Detect) should be monitored. This is used with modems or any other device that sends a DCD signal. When it is monitored and the Device Server detect s a DCD signal, the line service is started.

This i s the default setting. z Local —The Device Server deals with the break locally .
57 Configuring Lines Line Services Line Services determine how line is defined. As a ru le, when you are accessing a serial device through the Device Serv er, coming from the et hernet side, you want to set the Line Service to Revers e Raw or Reverse T elnet .

59 Configuring Lines BIDIR Settings When the Line Service is set to BID IR , a bidirectional conn ection is created, with data flowing in both directions in its original format. This raw TC P/IP connection can be in itiated from either the Device Server or the configured host.
