F or DSX-1 models: If the DSL port is in a DS0 c ross -connec tion, correspon ding DSX-1 time slots are sent all ones.
8. Test ing 8700-A 2-GB20-40 May 200 2 8-5 Repeater Loopback A Repeater Loopback (RLB) loops the da ta nor m ally sent to the DSL p or t back t o the conn ected DTE por ts. The DSL por t is sent all ones and data received on the DSL link is i gno red.
8. Test ing 8-6 May 2002 8700-A2- GB20-40 DTE Loopback DTE Loopba ck l oo ps the DSX-1 or G.703 signal back to itself , retaining (bipolar violation) BPV transparency . A lso: If the DSX-1 or G.703 por t is in a DS0 cross-conne ction , the time sl o ts cross-conne cted to the DSX-1 or G .
8. Test ing 8700-A 2-GB20-40 May 200 2 8-7 Remot e Send Line Loopback The local unit i ni tiates this test b y se nding a line loopback Up or Down comm and to the r e mote unit for 10 second s. When the remote unit detects the loopback Up command , it puts itself in li ne loo pback and lights the front panel T e st LED .
