Important Information E NGLISH - 8 Precautions with regard to safety If you notice smoke, stra nge smells or noise co ming from the projector, disconnect t he mains plug from the mains socket. Do not continue to use the projector in such cases, otherwise fire or electric shocks could res ult.

E NGLISH - 13 Preparation Read this first When you start the projection for the first time or after the projector is initialis ed, the minimum required settin g screen for projection will be displayed. J LANGUAGE Select the required lang uage setting.

Getting Started E NGLISH - 19 Connections Read and follow the operating and con necting in structions o f each peripher al device. The peripher al devices must be turned off. Prepar e the connecting cab les that match wit h the projector and peripheral device terminals.

Make sure the sh ape of the mains plu g and the AC IN terminal on the ba ck of the proj ector match, then push th e plug all th e way in. 2. Align the side of the powe r cord secure lock wi th the side guide rail of the AC IN terminal of the projector and slide it in.

E NGLISH - 24 Basic Operation Projecting an image 1. Switch on the connecte d devices. Press the play button of the required device. 2. Detect the input signal automatically . 3. Switch the aspect ra tio automatically . 1. Place the projector at th e right angle from the screen.
E NGLISH - 25 Basic Operation Remote control operation You can operate the pr ojector with the remote control within the remote range 15 m (4 9'2"), approximately ± 30° vertically and horizontally .

E NGLISH - 29 Settings Menu Navigation The menu system allows you to access fu nctions which do not have their own dedicated buttons on the remote control. The menu options are str uctured and cate gorised. You can n avigate through the menu with FGHI buttons.

E NGLISH - 32 Settings PICTURE menu Depending on the projection environment, you can use these pres et parame ter settings to optimis e image projection. Press I H to cycle through the op tions. You can adjust the contrast of the projected image. Adjust the BRIGHTNESS in advance if necessary.

E NGLISH - 34 Settings POSITION menu If the projector is aligned no n-perpendi cularly to the screen, or if the projection screen has an angled surface, the keystone will be corrected automatically.
POSITION menu E NGLISH - 35 Settings Q 16:9 The squeezed signal will be projected in 16:9 ratio. Q S4:3 The input signal will be sized down 75 % and projected. S4:3 mode is ef fective when projecting 4:3 image on to a 16:9 screen. Q THROUGH The image will be projected without any s ize adjustment .
E NGLISH - 36 Settings OPTION menu When you change the input method, th e guidance appears in the upper right co rner of the screen. The following display methods are availa ble. Press I H to cycle through the options. You can switch the logo on/off that is displayed when starting up the projector.
OPTION menu E NGLISH - 37 Settings You can adjust the power of the lamp to save electricity, prolong the lamp life and reduce the noise. STANDARD When higher luminance is required ECO-MODE When lower luminan ce is sufficient You can check how long the lamp has been u sed.

Press FG to select the required function. 3. Press the ENTER button. The dot on the left of the option is indicating the assigned function.

When you apply to the SECURITY menu before you change the password to your origina l, perform to input the following factory default pa ssword operation.

E NGLISH - 41 Maintenance LAMP and TEMP Indicators If a problem should occu r with the projector, the LAMP and/or TEMP indicators will inform you. Manag e the indicated pr oblems as follow. 1. Confirm the st atus of all indicators and projector , and switch off the projector in proper way .
E NGLISH - 42 Maintenance Care and Replacement J Before cleaning the projector Switch of f the projector and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Unplug all the cables from the projector . J Cleaning the outer surf ace of the projector Wipe off dirt and du st gently with a sof t cloth.
Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 43 Maintenance The lamp un it, ET-LAB80 is consumab le and you mu st repl ace it regularly. It is recommended that a qualified technician carry the lamp un it replacement and consult with an Autho rised Service Centre.
Maintenance Care and Replacement E NGLISH - 44 J Replacement proce dure Q Removing and replacing the lamp unit 1. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the 2 lamp unit cover fixing screws on the back of the projector until the screws turn freely , and remove the lamp unit cover .
E NGLISH - 45 Maintenance Troubleshooting Should any problem persist, contact yo ur dealer. Problem Cause Reference pag e Power does not turn on. The mains lead may not be connected securely . No electric supply at the mains socket. TEMP indicator is lit or flashes.
